Where's the best places to watch the parades?

- Share a Dream and Spectromagic @ MK?
- Stars & Motor Cards parade @ MGM?
- Jammin Jungle parade @ AK?

Thanks!

Really depends on preference. Personally in MK I really like sitting on Main Street. It does have the theme and the castle as the backdrop. However the downside is that you will have to get there early for a spot and the parade starts in Frontierland.

As for MGM-- well we try to stake out a bench early-- and we'll take on where we can get them. We have seen them go up to 1.5 hours before the parade.

At AK-- we have not found a spot we prefer yet. This is a really great parade, but we usually don't stay late enough to catch it.

At AK, as you are walking into Africa, there is a rock wall on your left hand side just before the big Africa doors...perfect spot. Doesn't take long for the parade to get to you and for some reason, could be the times of year that we typically visit, but there is hardly anyone sitting there. And as a bonus, there is usually a Mickey icecream bar cart right across from you! :mickeybar

i like the strategy of sitting at a "bend" in the route (on the side where you can see them coming toward you).

remember to pay attention to the position of the sun, if you'll be taking pictures/videos.

MK parades .... from the top of splash mountain going down ... 2 seconds of Spectro is more than enough.

We watched Share a Dream at MK at the very beginning in Frontierland. We were right outside Pecos Bill's by the gate. There was a guy there rounding up kids to do a stick pony race and my daughter got to participate. She loved it. He gave out Fast Passes to Splash Mountain for all the kids who did it. It was a great place to watch b/c the characters were fresh and excited. Right after we went to Splash Mountain and rode it.

Well, Spectro was ending in Frontierland when I saw it last week. I always have preferred Frontierland...I hate crowds and I hate wasting an extra 30 mins to an hour of my vacation camping a spot for viewing. Also, It's easier to get the heck out of dodge when the parade ends while you are in Frontierland because you don't have to head towards even more crowds jammed into the HUB to get to anything else like you do while on Main St.

I don't really like any of the daytime parades and avoid them. I'm usually back at the hotel resting when those crowds are peaking and the Florida sun is being relentless. It just doesn't make sense to be in the parks between 2 PM and 5 PM if you have enuff time to relax and get some rest time in while on your vacation. The parks are consistently lousy during those hours from now until the heat and crowds let up in the Fall.

Just my .02 cents.
