Best location to request for the Dolphin

Hi all! We're going to be at the Dolphin in July and I want the best view I can request at Standard pricing. I know - it's just a request. We are Starwood members so hopefully there will be an upgrade associated with that but what is the best view with Standard to list in the beginning? If they do say we can upgrade once we get there, what will the upgrade likely be and what location do I aim for if given choices? Any help would be appreciated!

Most likely they will upgrade you to resort view which looks accross to the Swan. If you're lucky and they aren't booked up, you might get a Epcot or ToT view also. It never hurts to ask for what you want a view of, and worst case they'll say sorry not available. Remember that upgrades are subject to availability of rooms. When they are booked solid with a convention, not gonna happen. Good luck!

So is the best view from an upper floor or does that make the walk too long? We stayed there for 1 night before on the spur of the moment and had a Boardwalk view which was nice except for the condensation on the windows in the morning. It seemed like that walk was super long and we only did it twice! Any hope for a balcony if you get that one step up upgrade? I know it is all subject to what's available. Thanks!
