My hubby and I love italian food and are spending one night without kids and would like to go somewhere yummy. Any suggestions on where we should go? :goodvibes

Tutto Italia is amazing, I have a ton of pics and review from our April trip in my signature. I cannot wait to go back there.

We have dined at Mama Melrose and it was blech, very bland food. We are trying Tonys in August

We ate at Il Mulino at the Swan resort in December and loved it. In fact we liked it so much that we ate there twice on our trip.

Tuto Italia is overpriced Olive Garden type food. I was not impressed. The Portobello Yacht Club was very good.

We're trying Il Mulino next week!!

We're trying it in May too, 2 weeks after you. There's been several posts out here from people who have tried all of the Italian places and they've said that Il Mulino is far and above the best. I can't wait.

I would have said Portobello Yacht Club.

I read an article in the Washington Post not long ago about the former chef there who has opened a restaurant in Washington. He said Orlando was fine but he got tired of being asked why there was no lasagna or plain spaghetti on the menu.

Assuming you are not looking to us the DDP then the best Italian is at Il Mulino's located at the Swan. A truely highend Italian dinning experiance. Not on the DDP or eligible for the DDE Card discount but work every penny to us.
