Best in-park breakfast?

Will you only be there for one MM day (even though you will only have access with your PH for one MM day)? Because if you are there for more than one MM day you can use your first day as your actual MM to do rides and then your 2nd make reservations for breakfast at the start of MM.

That would be my suggestion ~ but make sure you use your MM 1st and then do M & F on the 2nd MM day *that you no longer have access to*

Unfortunately they don't start that early with reservations on a non MM day. The times that I have gone I always make mine for the first available time and on a non-MM day it was 20 minutes before the Park opened (so 8:40a if the park opened at 9a). Ohhhh, I get it now. That's what we'll do Tuesday MM we'll do the rides and Thursday, our departure day, we'll make our reservation. Thanks so much for the info everyone!!

I don't think Jack was saying the PP was lucky to get to eat at Minnie's early on a MM morning without having MM. It sounds like he himself may have done this at some time. I interpreted what Jack said to mean that yes, you can eat at Minnie's before regular park opening, but if you finish eating early and are not eligible for early entry, you are not allowed into the active areas of the park until official opening time.

I don't believe Minnie's is open at 8 AM on a non-MM day when the park doesn't open until 9 AM. It is open at 8 AM on a MM day when regular park opening time is 9 AM.

That is what Jack was trying to say. It has nothing to do with the reservation for eating, it has to do with when we were allowed to go do rides, etc. They would allow us to leave the area until the park was offically open unless we had MM on a MM day.

How long ago did you do it? We definitely didn't have a problem back in September and passed many CM's on the way out who smiled and said have a good day and we weren't the only ones on our way out.

Even if they don't let you out until the park officially opens it's a great way to get breakfast in without cutting in to actual ride time and technically you aren't missing anything that you didn't have to begin with.

The last time we did this was 3 years ago. We were walked down for breakfast at the first reservation time with the park opening at 0800, non mm day. We were told that we could not leave the dining area until the offical opening time which was 0800. There were a number of us willing to get going, but were told what I have stated previously. Again an August date. Like I said, things may have changed but that was our experience and have not been back since.

OK, so you're talking non-MM days, which wasn't what I was talking about at least.

I can see where they would make you stay in the area until Park opening because nothing would be open at that point. What time was the early reservation on a non MM day 3 years ago? I know any time I have made a reservation on a non MM day it's been no more than 20 minutes before the Park opens and that doesn't count the time getting the photo taken, paying for the meal, and getting seated so there's no way you'd be done eating before the Park opened so that's no loner an issue.

I was talking about strictly on a MM day when you're eating during the MM hour. It's a little different at that point because people are in the park for the MM hour so some rides are 'open' even though the Park isn't officially.

That's what I'm wondering about. If it's just 20 minutes before opening, it won't be worth it. I was thinking 45 minutes, then you're done eating and ready to ride!

If you're still planning to do it on your 2nd MM day, don't worry about it ;) The first seating will be around when MM starts, but not before then. You'll have plenty of time to be done by the time the Park actually opens and maybe even beforehand.

On a non-MM it was 20 minutes before the Park opened in my experience.

From what I understand, on a MM day, eating at M and F does not give you the privedge to enter the park (from the eating area)unless you have a MM pass via ticket or resort hotel stay until the regular opening of the park, 0800(for that day). On a non-MM day the reservation was at 0720 for a park opening at 0800. Both days we were not allowed to go into the park because on the MM day, we did not have the MM privledge and on the non MM day we were not allowed because the park was not offically open.
If you can book a meal at 0700 and then enter the park when you do not have the MM privledge on a MM day, that would be great just to get into the park early.

That wasn't what I was saying. But in my experience after we finished our meal on MM we were allowed to leave even though the Park had not officially opened yet. And then it's looking like they made the reservations for non-MM days a little later so they wouldn't run into the problem of people being 'stuck' with nowhere to go if they finished eating early.

So it appears that the system has changed to reflect the problems that we ran into. Thanks for the updated information.
