Best "In-Character" Stories

During a parade at Disneyland (I forget which one..the 3 o'clock one, lol) Lady Tremaine and the 2 step sisters walked by my partner Bill and I (we're both guys, BTW). One of the step sisters stopped and asked Bill if he would like a date. Lady Tremaine shoo'ed her away and said,

"We're looking for princes, not queens!" :lmao:

How'd she know!

:rotfl::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl::rotfl2::lmao:

I just about chokes as I read this! How funny!! It is nice to know that even Wicked Stepmothers are accepting enough to joke!

My 9 year old cousin saluted a green army man at DHS. The CM actually seemed a bit surprised by it but quickly got back into character and saluted back.

at CRT,we weremeeting the step sisters and i was up getting food at the buffet.this is how the convo went:

"you have one extra seat?" (SS)
"no, shes up getting food!" (my sister)
"what is her name?" (SS)

After this, they continually shriek my name through the restaurant, until i came back tothe table..soooo embarassing, but my parents couldnt stop laughing!:headache:

Also, once when my sister was 3ish, Goofy came over and fed my sister when she refused to eat.

Priceless:goodvibes

This June we took my daughter to Akershus for the first time to meet the princesses. She had a couple wonderful moments, but the funniest were with Ariel. Our daughter decided to sing one of Ariel song's to her and Ariel asked our DD if she had a band director like Sebastian. When Ariel was talking to our daughter, our DD was holding a fork to eat her watermelon and Ariel asked her if she brushed her hair with a Dinglehopper too. The best moment came when they did their parade of princesses. Our daughter being two, had a hard time finding our table again. I was walking to go get her when she was talking to Snow White. Snow White said, "I'll take you to Ariel. Ariel knows where you belong". Ariel, politely walked over to our DD, called her by name, and said "Don't worry..., I know exactly where your humans are." She then walked her right back to our table. It was extremely cute.

Our best character interaction happened in October 2012. We entered Epcot through the IG at 8:50 and of course that part of the park was deserted. As we were walking up to the bridge to take pictures, Cinderella's stepmother and two stepsisters came right up behind us and started yelling at us to take their pictures instead! The sisters kept telling my DD10 that they loved her shorts and hair and tshirt, etc and asking her if she was looking for "her prince". The stepmother was trying to drag them along and the sisters kept singing and fighting with each other. They asked DD if she wanted to come and sing with them and asked her to sing a few notes. They were very funny, very into their roles! I never saw the stepmother remove the scowl from her face- even in the pictures!

While not as exciting or entertaining as most of the ones I read, this one was special because it was my son's first trip to Disney.

We got to MK and headed to Tomorrowland. We came out of Monster's Inc Laugh Floor, and accidentally ran into a short line for Buzz Lightyear.

My son who was there for his birthday, had his Buzz Lightyear sneakers on. He walked shyly up to Buzz, and as soon as Buzz saw his sneakers he got very excited. He kept pointing to his sneakers then back to himself proudly. He kept posing like the Buzz on his sneakers.

When he saw my son's Birthday Button, Buzz insisted on taking a picture with him. Wouldn't let him go without it.

MNSSHP '12 at the New FL preview, we got in line for Gaston and the CM was AWESOME! I was dressed as a pirate and asked if he had an aversion to lady pirates. "Why no, especially not one as good looking as you... besides, even I can make any pirate look good." And he whips out that cheesy grin.

Another memory was for the Pirates League. My best friend's son and I were seated next to each other as we were transformed into part of Cpt Jack's crew. My CM and his CM were a riot. When I told them were were from Miami, my CM found it rude that it was *MY* Ami and I was being overly proprietary about the city we resided in. I needed to share apparently. I was turned into a cursed pirate (the skeleton looking one) because I was caught fooling around with Poseidon's trident. :lmao:

while leaving the Magic Kingdom, we stopped to talk to one of the citizens of Main Street.

He was the the town councilmen, and he'd give us any law for $50
My mother said to him: "Rude is rude in every language."
"True.. True"
"I want something to be done about the rude people"
"The chances of that are one in a Brazilian, I mean million!" and we die of laughter.
"Whenever she (meaning myself) sees their flags, she runs."
"The Flags! RUN! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!"
that, was the best experience ever

Visting with Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh and I asked him if his garden was ok after all the hurricane's that had come thru recently, poor rabbit was saying he was tired and had had to replant everything.

During our vist to DL: Dh to mad hatter: Sign this please handing MH a piece of card stock

mh to dh: what do u want me to write
dh: your name
mh signs "your name"

dh finally got MH to sign mad hatter

welll we had a good interaction with Tarzan & Jane during MNSSHP last year.

me and my wife are 23/24yo and we love interacting and the characters always enjoy being in character.

we met Tarzan & Jane and when it was our turn he sort of jumped over and took my wife by the arm and led her over to Jane, he said "where are you from" and we said England and he got all excited and said "jane from england too" then he scratched his head and said "london?" and we said "yorkshire" he smirked and thought about it before saying "is that near london" lol

he looked to jane for assistance who in turn looked towards us to advise if it was or not lmao!!! funny....

the characters will play and interact if your old or young, some people just want photos and dont let them interact and i always find interacting the best part and you always ALWAYS get better pictures with photopass when your deep in convo or playing with the characters they dont miss a treat.

best character piccy which wasnt posted was me and buzz, i was attempting to push his button at the back and he knew what i was doing and suddenly started karate-chopping like in the movie, that is the best picture ever!!

i bet many kids in line tried that after that.... poor buzz lol

One day, in EPCOT, we were walking out of the world showcase. We saw Gaston for Beauty and the Beast just walking toward the world showcase - there didn't appear to be a handler around him. He would stop walking, put his hand to his forehead as if he was looking for something. DD was 7 at the time and as we got closer to him, she says, "Belle is over there" and points to where Belle was. Gaston looks at DD and says, "why thank you young lady, that is exactly who I was looking for." DD was thrilled Gaston spoke to her.

At the very end of our trip, the guy I was seeing at the time and I were leaving MK to catch the bus back to the airport. Chip was walking around by himself with no handler, and no one seemed to notice but us. I caught his eye and was so excited to get one last pic in. He looked at me, did the eye rub thing (that cartoons do when they see a girl they like) and then put his hands over his heart like it was pumping. He ran over and we got some great pics. I said thank you, but then he took my hand, waved goodbye to my boyfriend, and started running toward the gate with me!

The characters seem to have a lot of fun with younger couples, and I was "stolen" several times from DBF last trip (by Stitch, Goofy, and Chip...AGAIN!)

Sorry to post twice, but I just remembered another. I went to a wedding of a couple my bf at the time and I knew. They were fairly young when they got married (20 I think?) so we were a very young bridal party. We were all sitting together (minus bride and groom) at the rehearsal dinner in the GF and all of the characters from Cinderella were there. The stepsisters came over at the same time. I was the only girl at the table and the one with the green dress (not sure of the names) came over to me and asked if bf was my prince, and I said yes. She lifted up my left hand, observed the lack of ring, and gave him a look like "what's up with that??". The other stepsister "fell in love" with our friend, he's a short guy with curly hair and a bit nerdy. It was so funny, she kept waving to him like a little girl who was shy around the boy she liked, and he would get so embarrassed! Even when she was at other tables she did it across the room, and was pointing out her "boyfriend" to the other tables. He got more and more embarrassed and we all couldn't get enough of it!

Aurora asked us where we were from when we ate at CRT and when we said Indiana, she asked us how we got there. She said we must have been very tired when we told her we flew and said that we should ask Jasmine about how to get a flying carpet.
And at Crystal Palace we've had two great character interactions. When we had dinner there Tigger loved DH's beard, he kept rubbing DH's face and then his own. Then last trip DH wore his bacon shirt from Thinkgeek and piglet acted very scared when he saw it.

At Characterpalooza in April 2012 we met Mary Poppins and a Penguin. My DD (3) was obsessed with Mary and the penguin scene. When it was finally her turn she asked Mary if the penguins really knew how to dance. Mary kneeled on the floor, held my DD next to her and asked the penguin to put on a show for them. The penguin proceeded to dance around the area for a good 30 seconds. It was really cute and my DD still talks about it.

One time I was on the DCL with my best friend and we were waiting in line in the main lobby to take photos with all the characters. We first walked up to Goofy and he gasped, pointed at my shirt (I was wearing a Rocky Horror Picture Show tee) and was jumping up and down excitedly. Next we walked up to Minnie and instead, she laughed, pointed at my shirt and started doing the Time Warp with my best friend and I :upsidedow

One of the things I love most is being able to interact with characters!!!

The most memorable, however, is um.. perhaps a bit, well, let's just call it suggestive in nature..

My best friend from college and I were having breakfast at 1900 Park Fare, or rather waiting to be seated. While we waited, we noticed that outside the holding cell, um, waiting area, there was a topiary of Mary Poppins. Being girls in our mid 20's we started joking about Mary Poppins' bush. We were quiet and amusing ourselves to pass the time. Then Mary Poppins herself came out to meet everyone. We laughed a little harder. As she got around to us she inquired as to what was so funny, asking if we were being good girls, and well, it must have been that slightly devilish sparkle in her eye, we told her that we were talking about her bush. And without missing a beat she said, "oh yes, my bush, it needs a lot of maintenance, must be trimmed all the time!!" She knew exactly everything we were discussing, played along, and even offered to go outside (Big no-no apparently) and pose, all three of us, in front of her bush. The BFF and I still can't talk or reference MP without laughing hysterically. :rotfl:

bummer.. I'd post a pic, but I'm still too new! :(

:rotfl:
this story is just :worship:
