Ok, we are heading to WDW on June 23rd. We are staying at Windsor Hills. Let's assume that we are there at rope drop and decided to head back to the house around 2pm. How long will it take to get from MK exit to our house? I know that this is an impossible question with so many variables, but we are trying to figure out if it is worth it or if it will take up way too much time.

Assuming an 8 crowd level, should we expect an hour each way? Two?

I'm not really familiar with Windsor Hills, so I let google maps tell me that the travel time between there and the MK is 18 to 24 minutes... but I'll assume 30 minutes just in case you run into a bit of traffic or whatever. Besides, it's a nice round number;) Now, once you get to the MK exit you'll need to take either a monorail or a ferry to the TTC where you left your car. The monorail is slightly quicker and you shouldn't have too much of a wait early in the afternoon like that, so I would say you should plan for about 25 minutes to walk from the gate to the Monorail, board the train, and ride to the TTC. Once you get to the TTC you'll need to either walk out to your car (if you're not too tired from walking all day or take a parking lot tram). Again, I wouldn't expect too much of a wait for the tram, so maybe 15 minutes to walk from the monorail platform to the tram, board the tram, and ride out to the lot, then maybe 5 minutes to walk to your car, load it and start driving out... for a grand total of an hour and 15 minutes.

Those are pretty conservative estimates, so I don't really think it'll take much longer than that. Maybe give it an hour and 30 minutes if you really need to be somewhere at a certain time.

SIZE="4"]We always stay at Windsor Hills - what an amazing place. Going back again in November too! Windsor Hills is about 7 minutes to Disney's Main Gate by car...really not much traffic! Very close...naptime - no problem

Getting from the main gates to Windsor Hills will only take about 10-15 minutes. The main time will take getting out of the park and to your car and that will have so many variables as crowd, tram and shuttle times, where your car is parked, etc.

We stayed at Windsor Hills in '08 and loved it. Great location!

Thanks so much. It actually sounds like the transportation time is similar to if you are staying at Pop?
