Hi all
I was wondering what floor you would think is best to stay on at Kidani. It doesn't matter where we go we always pick the top floor to avoid the noise from someone staying above you. However on our last trip we stayed top floor in Jambo House and it was so loud from the A/C fans on the roof. They just squeaked all night and day. This trip we requested 3rd floor, though we would get a closer view of the animals but now I am just unsure what to do. Any suggestions? Thank you. :)

We had a first floor savanna view room at Kidani last week and it was wonderful. We got a close up view of the animals. When you came off of the lobby we were on the left wing not too far down. I would definitely ask for the first floor again.

The last trip we took to AK we stayed at Jambo. We were on the third floor and it was perfect. We were just above the Savannah and right above eye level of the Giraffes. Our room was very quiet without any disturbances. We were at the end of one of the spokes so there was no traffic. You made a good choice IMHO.

Is that actually called 1st floor at Kidani? It looks that it was deemed too dangerous to have a true ground level SV, and the Kidani I saw under consruction did not have any ground level SV. Jambo does not have any 1st floor savannah view rooms, only 2nd (lobby at Jambo is on 2nd)

You are correct. It is the second floor. The lobby of Kidani is also on the second floor. There are no guest rooms on the 1st floor, only Sanaa (the restaurant), the lounge next to Sanaa and the under-building parking lot.

2nd or 3rd floor would be my choice.

it seems closer to the animals than Jambo House

I read another thread on here where someone said they could hear people driving under their room in the parking garage. :scared1:

For the view of the animals I have to totally agree with you Spiceycat. I guess my only concern is how sound proof the villas are. Will there be an unreasonable amount of noise from folks running around above your head on the floor above you?

We were there on from the 3rd to the 9th. Requested close to the lobby and low level. We got both our requests.

The first floor is the lobby level. When you go out to your patio you are up one floor from the ground. The under building parking level is really the first floor. The elevator from the parking level goes P(parking),1st(lobby),second, third, fourth. We were on the first floor and close enough to the lobby.

:thumbsup2We were three Beads to the right of the lobby. 7246 I believe it was. make sure you request close to the lobby if you are going to use the pool. We had an awesome view and a great stay.

We were on the lobby level(1st floor) and we never heard anything from the people above. We did however hear people next to us so I really don't think it will matter as long as you have quiet neighbors.

It seems to be more sound proof from above than from side to side. We had a connecting studio I am not sure if they have dedicated studios?

Most of what we heard was in the morning when we were getting ready and in the evening for a few min while they were comng in and getting ready for bed. I will also point out that they had a few children and that is what we heard. :thumbsup2

Glad to hear your stays were enjoyed. Did you all experiance any noise from the people above you or the parking garage below?

Thank you Hazzard I send my next question before I recieved yours. Thank you very much for your help. :)

We stayed on the 2nd floor of Kidani and the views were wonderful! 6pm was feeding time for the Giraffes. They were ALWAYS right outside out window every evening!
We never hear car noises from below, we were quite a walk from the lobby but still it was only 5 minutes from our room to the pool!

I did not hear any noise from the parking at all. I did however get woken up at 10 am when they were mowing the savanna......Pretty funny but true. But you would hear that at any level and shame on you for being asleep at 10 am at WDW anyway:rolleyes1 I am also sure it doesn't happen much anyways.
