What airline would you recommend for going out of Vancouver to Orlando? Our whole family is going next October (at the moment, our group numbers 11). I'd love to know what airline and/or method you think would be the most cost-effective.

Thank you very much!:cool1:

hi there, i have never seen a "good" deal out of vancouver, but you can get great deals out of seattle...i recently punched in the same dates that we are going to disneyland, and i got an amazing price up-for our family of 5 out of seatac to orlando it was 1215 canadian...that is soooooo cheap, cheaper than our flight to LA....i would check into seatac flights, it will save you thousands....

As a vancouver-ite, there aren't any good deals from YVR to Orlando!! We have a WDW vacation booked for July 31-August 8 and used our Aeroplan points for the flights. If we hadn't, the flight alone would have cost us about $2,500!! AHH!! It sucks A LOT, but we just have to suck it up because we can't change it!!! But yes, I do agree about trying to get a flight out of Seattle. It'll probably be cheaper, which means more $$ for WDW!! Thats always a plus! Well, good luck in finding a flight and have a magical WDW vacation!! :wizard: - Only 12 days for us! YEAH!

If you don't want to make the drive, check out Alaska Air. Sometimes their prices aren't that much off what they fly out of Seattle for.
If you collect AirMiles and get a WestJet Airmiles Mastercard, you can fly down there for very few miles (1400 or 1600 depending on time of year)

We fly out of Seattle when we go because it is so much of a savings. We are on the island and we still have at least 1500 for our family even with the ferry costs.

We just got flights on Air Tran for 1200.00 US for 3 (Dh, DD 2 and myself) of us in Sept. In Dec we are flying Alaska air and it was quite a bit more than Air Tran but it's a direct flight. Air Tran has a connection.

We paid 600.00 Canadian per ticket for Alaska Air. We figured the extra cost was worth it for the direct flight when we have so many more people. (Dh, DS 14, DS 12, BFD 15, DD 3, DN 21, and myself)

We did check out flights from Comox, Victoria and Vancouver. Air Canada did have some good deals for awhile but they were gone before I was able to book.

If you have time just keep checking them and when you see a good deal jump on it. And they seem to have cheaper rates listed late in the evenings.

I check Air Tran, Jet Blue, and South West out of Seattle, and Air Canada or West Jet out of Comox or Vancouver.

I also live in Vancouver, and I have gone to WDW 5 times in the last two years and every time I have flown out of Seattle. I have tried each time to book with West Jet using our AIRMILES and each time I called they didn't have any seats available even when I called eleven months in advance.

If you do fly out of Seattle Alaska Airlines has a couple of direct flights to Orlando every day and they are a partner with the Magical Express so when it is time to leave you can drop your bags at the Disney Hotel and pick up your boarding pass. Our next trip is in September and we paid $435.00 Canadian each (for three of us) for a direct flight each way (this is the best for us as we will be flighing with a 3 year old and the transfers are a real pain)

Have a great trip, and if you do find any flight deals out of Vancouver please post the info on these boards.

We're flying Alaska Air out of Seattle. We were going to take the ferry and then drive to a hotel near the airport the day before and then fly out but we decided to swallow it and fly from Victoria to Seattle and then direct to Orlando. With ferry prices going up and then having to pay for a hotel near the airport, park the car at the airport we decided that for the hassle it just wasn't worth it. If we were to go as frequently as some of the people on these boards seem to do, then for sure we could only do it out of Seattle. Honestly, our own airlines are a total ripoff. The prices are outrageous! Only 43 days to go!

Have you looked into taking the Victoria/ Seattle Clipper to Seattle? That way you can have someone drop you off in Victoria clipper terminal, take a taxi or I beleive the clipper has a towncar packege to Seatac airport. taking the clipper the night before and staying at a hotel for an eary Seattle departure may be an option too. I beleive the clipper eve has some fares that are free for kids when parents by a package. May be something worth looking into to take advatage of cheaper seattle Flights.
