what is your favorite spot -- or the "best" spot to see wishes, illuminations, fantasmic -- and how early to get there!! thanks for the advice!!

We like to watch Illuminations from Mexicxo's CS location. We get a table and enjoy our dinner and dessert. We are usually there about an hour before.

Wishes - our favorite spot is just main street. We tried the bridge towards Tomorrowland because so many people on here suggested it. However, we felt it took away from the story. It was a nice view if the fireworks are the best part for you. But for us, it's the story and castle WITH the fireworks. And you can't get a better view of the two together than main street. We usually watch the parade before Wishes, so we get a seat about 30-45 min. before the parade and get Casey's hot dogs to chow on while we wait. Then after the parade, we hang out until a few minutes before. Then we tend to stand in the middle of the road with the crowds for Wishes.

Illuminations - Our favorite spot is between Norway and Mexico. (And we get snacks from Kringla in Norway...seeing a pattern here? ) We usually get there about 45 min. before. Sometimes a little less, sometimes more, depends on the crowd.

Fantasmic - the best spot naturally is the dead center, however for those seats, you really have to wait like 2 hours usually. We don't do that anymore. Now we do the dining package and say "thank you for the worse seats because we don't have to wait!"

My favorite place for Illuminations doesn't work well with small children . . . right as you pass into the World Showcase, there's a roped off area for sitting - one rope in the center, and one on each side. Go to the left hand ropeand stand there. When they drop the CENTER rope for the seating area about a half hour before Illuminations, everyone behind you will duck under that left rope and flood the seating area. You just stand there (and fight the crowd expecting you to move!). The people in the area in front of you HAVE to sit. You can sit or stand by your preference . . . I stand and can see right over everyone's head with a now perfect central view of the whole lagoon. If i ever meet the travel agent from Georgia (Tennesee?) again who we bumped into at Epcot who gave us that tip, I owe her a Drink Around the World.

In October, we sat on the bench/tree area to the left (as you face the lagoon) next to the gift shop as you enter the WS from FW. When the fireworks started, we stood on the seat and had a wonderful view.

For Fantasmic I like to sit in the Mickey section front row. Mickey is the center section. Of course, that close you have to not mind getting wet. I also prefer going to the 2nd show if I can.

I think I can safely say that there is no bad seat for Illuminations...I love the stairs to Canada.
