Best family board games/wii ??

Looking for board games and wii games that families can play. My family consists of adult children (22-32) and teenage grandkids (13-14). Want to have some fun when we gather. We usually have one Texas Holdem Tourney but want to also do other games. What are your best choices??

Have you played Apples to Apples? It is our very favorite. We like word games so Scattergories is always a big hit. And everyone loves Pictionary.

My teenage girls and even adult visitors have a blast playing Just Dance on the wii.

In addition to the ones already mentioned, we have enjoyed Stare and Balderdash. Balderdash would be a good fit for older kids, better for the age group you are looking for. It is FUNNY!!! We have had some good laughs playing that game.

I am interested in Stare. I work with groups of teens and pre-teens, some of whom have academic skills that aren't quite age level. Have you ever played Stare, Jr? Would you recommend Stare or Stare, Jr for pre-teens?

Our new family favorite is Skip-Bo. It's a card/Uno game that you can find in any games section.

Balderdash is A LOT of fun! We played that with my cousins at Christmas last year and had a blast.

My vote is for one of the Scene It games. They have at least 2 Disney versions, plus the Simpsons, Twilights, regular movie clips, etc. The Logo game, new this year, looks like a lot of fun, too.

Our family loves Scattergories. We can play individually or as teams and my younger grandchildren can play then.

Love Apples to Apples--there is a Disney version now!

Cranium (we have the Family one, good game, goes fairly quick). We're getting the Disney version for Christmas.

Pictionary, DVD (Disney version--can you sense a theme here? )

Clue, Monopoly (of course)

DS (7) is learning Skip-bo right now, he also loves Uno. Another good card game is Mille Bornes.

My family loves Mariokart, wii sports, and wii party. For the board games we love Apples to Apples, Tripoley, and Uno games. Have fun!!

Apples to Apples is great. We also enjoy Skip bo, phase 10, rummy. Our favorite last year was a game called Would you Rather. You get asked questions that are focused around would you rather do this or that? They are a bit off the wall and fun questions.

For the Wii you can't go wrong with Mario Kart, Disney's Guilty Party is a Wii game like Clue that's fun for the whole family, Sport Resort, the new super mario brothers (can have up to 4 players), Disney Universe looks fun (another 4 player game), the Hasbro game collection for the Wii is great as well.

Also don't forget about the old staple of dominoes. We love playing with family or friends.

Have you heard of the card game, Bang? We play that a lot and it's a big group game. We do Apples to Apples, but now we've gotten a little bored with it so we make it themed to the occassion. Over Thanksgiving we did, what would a turkey find (adjective)? It was pretty fun that way. We also play Uno with some extra rules. If you get a Draw 2 or 4 played on you, you can play a skip or reverse of that color and give it to a different player. You can also match identical cards out of turn during the game. It gets pretty chaotic, but it's fun. Up to 7 people can play "7 Wonders." We're really liking that right now too, but it takes a bit longer to learn than the others. It's pretty easy once someone is willing to read the instructions.

I would recommend Stare Jr. Even the junior version is quite challenging.

Sequence is in most stores. I found the other one in an upscale bookstore.

We really like Catchphrase, particularly the electronic version. The bigger the group the better. For the wii, we enjoy Kabookii, which is actually a Cranium game. Lots of fun.

Tripoly is another card game that is lots of fun! Requires betting, we use pennies!

We also love Cranium. Lots of laughs. And Uno Attack. It has an electronic card dealer that deals occasional multicard surprises to the players. After we played it with my sister we got one for our house and it became my favorite gift to give a few years ago.
