Hi all Can i please ask you all which you consider the best choice at Epcot (other than Teppan Edo),which is already booked. We are a family of nanny, mummy and 11yr old .we have lots of character meals booked so that isnt important... thanks in advance Ps "just the one dining credit ones"..

We like:
Le Cellier (but that's 2 credits)
Biergarten (German buffet, good use of DP credit as buffets are pricey)
Chefs De France (great use of DP credit as it's expensive if paying out of pocket)
Spice Road Table (our new fave but different food that everyone may not like, our DDs-16 were not fans but DH, DS-18 and I LOVED it)
San Angel Inn (for the atmosphere, the food is just okay)

These didn't WOW us:
Coral Reef (the food can be ick but the atmosphere is worth doing once)
Garden Grill (madhouse, chaotic)
Via Napoli (found food and service to be meh)
Rose and Crown (service was awful and food was meh...can get same fish and chips at the CS window outside)
Akershus (EXPENSIVE but had characters, some food was gross and some was good)
Teppan Edo (pricey and didn't take TIW which we didn't know until we were there, food wasn't as good as our Japanese steakhouse here at home)
Marrakesh (AWFUL food...one of our NEVER again places).

Both Mexican restaurants.

I really enjoyed Biergarten.

Le Chefs was ok... Bisque and bread were amazing.

Le Cellier was not good for lunch but dinner may be different.

Another vote for Chefs de France. Their escargots are spectacular and I agree that it's an excellent deal on the DDP.

I also liked Biergarten. Great atmosphere and fun for all. The food was good, but buffets are a bit wasted on me unless it's all seafood.

For TS, Chefs de France, and if you wouldn't mind counter service, Kringla Bakery in Norway (great sandwiches and desserts).

Another vote for Chef de France. It might sound fussy but there are some really good meals. When our kids were around 11 this was one they really liked.

The best bang for the buck for us are Tutto Italia, Chefs, and Tokyo dining

I'm shocked I'm the first to say this, but hands down via Napoli. Their food totally eclipses the other options and of course there is the best pizza ever

These are some of our favorites
Rose n Crown, San Angel Inn, Nine Dragons(Honey Sesame Chicken), Biergarten and Via Napoli

Favorites:
Le Cellier, Nine Dragons, Rose and Crown Pub

Biergarten we were not impressed with. Via Napoli same thing.

We LOVE Coral Reef! Great food, possibly the best desserts we've had in WDW, and an atmosphere that's hard to top at Epcot. Get an early ADR, if you can, and show up early to request a table tankside for an even better experience.

not to thread jack, but I have never been to Coral Reef myself.... however i see alot of hate on it - how come? is it the service or food? or both?

If you were forcing me to pick one restaurant in the Epcot, then I would say Chefs de France. We always eat there for the Candlelight Processional and always have a great meal! Others of note would be Via Napoli and La Hacienda. I'm from Texas and I really like La Hacienda. It has some good choices, but I would view it a little more Americanized Mexican food than San Angel Inn (JMHO).

We used to go there all the time when I was younger (I wanted to be a marine biologist and was fascinated by sharks). We went 2 years ago and I didn't think the food was as bad as others have said. I can't remember if I got the mahi or the salmon, but i enjoyed my entree. I think the problem may be the lighting and there aren't a huge selection of seafood options since most menus around the World have been standardized. If you like seafood and enjoy a darker ambiance, then I would recommend it. I think it has a more upscale feeling due to the darker lighting with blue hues.
