Best EPCOT Counter Service

The hands down best CS has to be the land. However, I haven't eaten there since the rehab/refurb so its probably ALOT different. Plan on eating there this Oct so I can review it then!

We are very disappointed to the changes at Sunshine Seasons (in the land). The food has gone more mediterranean style (nothing wrong with that), but it's nothing like it used to be. I also didn't like seeing the food sitting right there in the open, within reach of anyone who wanted to touch it, sneeze on it, or whatever else. It's also packed all the time now, due to Soarin' Over California, which makes it a less enjoyable experience for us.

I did notice that it was EXTREMELY crowded when I walked thru it last trip...I was trying to find the fruit/cheese packs b/c it looked really good and I was curious how much it cost....$8!! I said I'd have to come back on DDP! you're right about the food being out, but most of it is containers correct? I didn't give it much thought b/c it was very similar to how the cold items at POP were served. If the hot items were set out ready-to-grab style (wasn't paying much attention) they aren't the first to serve food that way...very cafeteria style! I'm thinking morrisons. And during a trip to seaworld food was served that way. The best way around that is to pick something you want, wait till a *fresh* one is put out and keep your eye on it until the line moves up enough to snatch it. Otherwise...yeah the germ factor. I wasn't really thinking about it. Well...mabey we won't go out of our way to eat there. We'll probably spend most of our time scavenging the f&wf booths anyhow.

I couldn't agree more! We used to love the old food court at the Land, and are also extremely disappointed with the new format. This place used to be a no-brainer for us, but we no longer go there.

Epcot is my favorite park, and there are many table service restaurants that we love, but as far as counter service, I think it is lacking.

We really like Tangerine Cafe and usually go there every time we're in Epcot. We will hopefully eat there again on this trip! :thumbsup2

Yakitori House. Its out of the way location means its hardly ever crowded, and the food is not your ordinary stuff.

Tangerine Cafe gets another vote here. I've always had consistently good food there, and if you're on the DDP, you can't find a better bang for your counter service buck!

For me it's Rose and Crown window(also can sit beside lagoon) DH likes Germany sausages, DD's love the very nutrious Beaver tails from Canada!!!(pastry with icing and maybe some small peice of fruit)!

If you're on the DDP what would the dessert be with the CS meal at the Tangerine Cafe be like?

I remember they had a quite a selection. We had Baklava in 2004 before Disney started DDP. I imagine it should still be the same. :)
