I believe that most everyone would agree that BCV has the best overall pool. But my children are young (will be 3 and 5 for our next visit) and I was wondering what other people's opinions are to what is the best pool for small children? Is it still BCV? Thanks

I think BCV pool is great so small kids... on end of it has a sandy beach and zero entry, which both my kids loved... But then again they love the pool at OKW too..... playing mostly in the kiddie pool but also on the stairs of the larger pool.

Havent brought the kids to VWL or BWV yet, so I am no help there.....

Our two have been enjoying Stormalong Bay since they were 1.5 years old. There is a wonderful zero entry area that is all sand. They sell floaties and beach buckets with shovel at very reasonable prices (just a couple bucks each) right at the pool. There is a sandbar that sticks right out into the pool and a very shallow kiddie pool nearby as well. (This is the end in front of the YC)

Across the walkway in the shipwreck is another small pool built right into the shipwreck with a kiddie slide that they also love. The Lifeguards here will let you catch the little ones at the bottom of the slide (at least they have always allowed us to do this) They are still too small for the adult slide which requires that riders be able to swim themselves.

They also rent floats that are great in the lazy river portion or pretty much anywhere in the pool. We've tried WL and GF pools, but SAB is the best for us.

There are adult pools at the WL and a large kiddie/wading pool for the real little ones. The pool on the Villa side is a quiet pool, but the larger, main pool had a nice peaceful slide and is just the right size to be able to keep and eye on everyone.

I haven't been to any of the DVC pools except WL, but I do have two small children.

BVC is, to my knowledge, the only zero entry depth pool currently in the DVC system. My kids LOVE zero entry depth - gives them the control of being able to go as deep as they are comfortable. My kids also love the sand beach (my parents have lakeshore) so if I were picking a pool for little ones, it would be SAB all the way!

(WL also has the Bay Lake Beach - with lots of sand)

We have four children (the oldest will be 9 tomorrow; the youngest is 2). We have been going to Disney since 98 (oldest was 4). We've stayed at all the DVC resorts and Stormalong Bay at the Beach Club wins, hands down for young children.

Now that they have discontinued pool-hopping to YC/BC, we plan on staying at Beach Club for at least the next couple of years. Then, back to home resort of BWV sometimes and of course, WLV for a change of pace.

I know I'm in the minority, but I am not all that fond of OKW. I prefer the "hotel" atmosphere of the other resorts.

FYI... the pool at Animal kingdom lodge is also zero entry. It not on the scale of Beach Club's stormalong bay....But, it does have a nice slope in beach type area.

BWV has a nice wading pool with elephants squirting water for the really little ones. It also has a small playyard next to it that the kids can go on slides, climb, and get squirted some more going back & forth from the pool. My granddaughter loved it for several hrs last Nov and she is 2 1/2.

Thanks for all the feedback. It sound like whichever one I go to, I can't lose. But BCV seem to win out as "the best."
