Best DTD Resort

We normally stay in a Disney resort but for the trip in January need to economize for 4 adults and 2 children. Which DTD resort would be the best all round resort in terms of price, theming, comfort, all of the things I know I'll miss by not staying on property? My daughter is looking at Lake Beuna Vista Resort. How is it?

The hilton is ice and has the EMH none of the others do but the DTD Doubletree Guest Suites is nice and tons of room.

We stayed at the Hotel Royal Plaza a few nights in Jan '08 before we checked into the WL. It was very nice. We could see fireworks from our room. The room was large, clean and well maintained. The employees were very nice. The bathroom had a jacuzzi tub as well as a walk in shower. I got a great price by using a code posted on mousesaver website. I would not hesitate to stay there again if I wanted to stay off property.
