Best Disney App!

You will get varying opinions. I like WDW Lines from touringplans.com. Disney has their own now as well called Disney parks (at least that's the android name).

Probably the Mobile Magic. It's Disney's app. There aren't many features until you get into the parks. But once you are inside a park it shows wait times, fastpass times, show times, and more than I can't think of. I think you can even make dining reservations thru it.

It's not perfect though. We used in during our May trip. At times the wait times and fastpass times wouldn't show at all, and several times we would be in a park but the app wouldn't register as us being in a park so we couldn't look at the times.

I like Lines. Their predicted wait times tend to be more accurate than Disney's posted wait times, believe it or not.

That said, I'll be using Mobile Magic as well on our next trip (wasn't available to Sprint customers on our last trip), because I think knowing the official FP return time could come in really handy from a planning standpoint.

I have used the Undercover Tourist app. It creates the wait time input from what users of the app submit. In general I like this app. I haven't use Mobile Magic yet. When we go next month I'm going to switch between them both to see how they compare. Since they are both free, try both and see what works for you.

Nice to know about this ..we'really going in 2 weeks..these little things will help alot

Does Mobile Magic work on a Blackberry?

I am not that phone savy & couldn't figure out how to download the app.

I have had the touringplans 'lines' app for about 2 yrs now and like it alot. I have used it in the parks and it worked very well. People can log in and put in their actual wait times, fp times and disneys posted wait times. When I'm at home I like to check it for the heck of it and get a little disney fix..

I got a smart phone a couple months ago and was able to get Mobile Magic and while I have not had a chance to use it in the parks I have used some of it's features at home, mostly games and dining info.

When we go to the parks in November I will probably be checking both apps and compare them.

Mobile Magic is free, the lines app is around $12 but you get a discount when you renew or if you have the touring plans book. Money well spent.

The MM app just tells you what the posted times are.

Lines gives you that and more.

We had similiar issues with MM the last week of May. I used MM for the first time last week and hated it. It took forever to load (other apps did not), it refused to acknowledge I was in the parks at times, sometimes it had me in the wrong park (espically Epcot WS area vs DHS) it force loaded at random times like in the middle of the night and sent me push notifications that woke me up, it gave me DLR info on push notifications when I was in WDW, etc. I finally uninstalled it and re-installed the next day. Still had same issues. I dont know that i'll use it again. The wait times match what is posted and its useful to see if FP is gone but thats it. I use Lines by touringplans and liked it much much more and thier wait times are closer to actual waits than just whats posted outside.

After using Lines last year (and I still subscribe), I used MM last week (on AT&T iphone) and loved it. Lines data is either predictive or relies on user input, so it's not guaranteed to be current for any particular ride. On the other hand, MM shows you precisely what the FP return times are posting at the ride at that moment and what the posted wait time is at the ride at that moment. Sure I've come to know that Disney posted wait times are often inaccurate (almost always on the high side, which is good) but especially with the new FP enforcement rules, I thought that it was most valuable in telling me what the FP return times were so I'd know if it's worth a walk across the park to get a FP or whether the return window wasn't viable for me in the first place.
