Best dish you've ever had at a WDW restaurant...

DeborahB-

I don't know either!!! They are just so wonderful. They have just the slightest crunch on the outside and are soft inside. I agree the vanilla is much superior to the chocolate frosted!!!!

I am not normally a donut person either. I rarely buy them at home. These are great.

Mmmmm....Great Thread

Hard to pick just one fav

Fav Meal of all time at WDW was Chefs de France

Had the French Onion Soup, Filet (medium) with potato gratin (YUMMY!!) and Millienium Dessert (White and Dark Chocolate Mouses piped into a spaceship earth dark chocolate cup (I actually took a picture of it, it was SOOOO Cool!)

Anyways I also want to give honourable mentions to

Breakfast: Main Street Bakery, Cinnamon Rolls (mmmmm)

Lunch: Columbia Harbour House, anything there is great :) and its a tradition :) Sunshine Season Food Fair.....

Does anyone remember when Kraft was the food sponsor at WDW? Sunshine Season Food Fair had this AMAZING BAKED Mac and Cheese with bacon...... :( I wish the still had it

Anyways, I love the pasta and potato stations there

Dinner: Wolfgang Puck Cafe, BBQ Rotisary Chicken w/ Garlic Mashed Potatoes and those GREAT breads that come at the beginning of the meal

Chefs de France (mentioned above)

Snacks: Mickey Ice Cream Bars & Popcorn, oh yea, mickey pretzels too and churros :)

LOL can you tell our WDW vacations are SLIGHTLY centred around food?

It was unfortunately a special, but SO delicious... it was the Sea Bass over risotto at Narcoosees in January of 2002. Tried to have it again in October, but they weren't featuring it at that time.:(

EVERYTHING at BOMA! Sorry, I can't single any one item out.

I don't know if I can wait until April now! :)

Breakfast: Henri's Hotcakes at Boatwrights at POR Riverside (formerly Dixie Landings, which it will always be to us!) Spoodles on the Boardwalk used to have a great breakfast buffet, and they used to have a great breakfast pizza!

Lunch: Alfredo's Fettuccine Alfredo at EPCOT. I know that most people bash this restaurant, but we must go every trip. Then again, we only get the Fettuccine Alfredo! :)

Dinner: California Grill at the Contemporary's Sushi Sampler. We like to eat at the Sushi Bar and watch them make the orders right there! I also like CA's Center Cut Beef Filet, the sauce for the beef is wonderful. I am a sucker for beef and potatoes! Flying Fish at the Boardwalk has the best Hail Caesar Salad! The Potato Wrapped Red Snapper is wonderful too!

Dessert: Flying Fish's Banana Napoleon is the best! I have never tasted anything like it. And my DH was the one who ordered it, I didn't even want it the first time we had it. And anything from Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club will work for me! :)

If I could combine all my favorites into one big meal, it would be this:

Start with the Canadian Cheese Soup and pretzel breadsticks from Le Cellier, along with a serving of Cobb Salad from the Brown Derby

Main course would be the Cedar Plank Salmon from Artist Point with the Tillamook Cheddar Mac and Cheese

Dessert would be Grapefruit Cake from the Brown Derby and Tanzanian Pockets with Rosewater-infused Honey from Jiko

Finally, since I would be stuffed beyond belief, I would waddle over to the Enchanted Grove in Fantasyland and get a Strawberry Swirl to top my day off!

I think I'd better steer clear of Strawberry Swirls and Tanzanian Pockets because our tastes couldn't be less similar! Cheese soup, BD's Cobb Salad, the Cedar Plank Salmon and the grapefruit cake have all been huge disappointments to me. (I did like the pretzel bread!);)

I do think you are probably in the majority with your opinions, though!

I couldn't help but laugh as I read your list because I wanted to like all those items but just couldn't. To each his own.

another vote for LeCellier, Steaks and fish dinners are the best. Also loved their ceasar salads. I can dream until next time.

Could someone describe the mac & cheese at Joko's? I keep seeing it mentioned, but want to know what makes it so special.

Thanks!

One particular visit to Chef Mickey's, we had the most amazing ribs and mashed potatoes. Also, the buffet sampler at Nine Dragons was delicious (but chinese food is my favorite at home, too)!
