During May, Illuminations appears to be at 9 pm, while MK Wishes can be at either 9 pm or 10 pm.

If I want to try and watch Illuminations from Rose and Crown, what is the recommended reservation time? Another post suggested volunteering to wait until a patio table opens, if possible rather than taking next available. Is this possible or practical?

Other posts suggested watching MK Wishes fireworks and Electric Water Parade from Narcoossee's or MK Wishes fireworks from California Grill.
Again, is this possible or practical? What is the recommended reservation time?

Any other thougts for Dinner TS to watch the fireworks?
Thanks

I've done CG for Wishes and when I called to make ressies 180 days out - Wishes was at 8:00 - so I made my ressie at 7:15. By the time the day arrived the schedule had changes and Wishes were now at 9:00. When the waiter came to our table and said Wishes was at 9:00 - my jaw hit the floor and my heart stopped:scared1: . I explained that I had made my reservation when Wishes was at 8:00 so that I could watch from here since we didn't have park tickets for that visit - he then asked "So how hungry are you?" ;) Needless to say - I was at a window seat - eating dessert at CG and watching Wishes at 9:00 that evening:thumbsup2 . Dinner did seem to take a little longer than usual that night but for some reason I didn't mind. At Disney - these things just have a way of working out - and so I guess that's why I just keep going back.

Just ate at Rose and Crown last week. We had ressies for 7:10 but checked in a little early (6:45 or so) since we were famished. Anyway, I asked for an outdoor/patio table. Well, we got right on the water and were seated a little before 7. Let me tell you, we NEVER ate dinner so slow as we did that night, even stretched it out with appetizers and dessert, something that we never do. Anyway, out waiter asked a little before 9 if we'd like to pay before Illuminations began but made sure we knew we were welcome to stay and watch from there. WOW is all I can say! Love the fish and chips! I do remember seeing a little plaque when we checked in for dinner telling people to limit their time at their tables to two hours so I wouldn't make a ressie for any earlier than 7:30.

Can't help with any other places, sorry

Lisa, I was leaning towards trying to get a 7:30 pm Rose and Crown reservation but just was not sure. Your reply confirms my thought and adds the need to plan for a leisurely dinner. Thanks for your help.

CG reservation time does appear to be a potential issue. I guess I will also need to keep my fingers crossed.

Thanks for the help.

The view at CG is better. BUT, the food, service and atmosphere at Narcoossees is SO much better. We've done both. And really, the view at Narcoossees was wonderful--it's just a little further away from CG.

We would definitely eat at Narcoossees again. CG, not so much.

(but that is just our experience)
