I honestly don't know where is best to post this question, but this was my best guess!
We just got back from Aulani (LOVED it), and after that and our April DLR trip, when our kids seemed as happy at the Grand Californian as they did in the parks... it got us thinking that we're getting to the point where the resort is where we need to focus our vacations (at least until WDW has all of the new lands, etc completed). Anyone here been to the other Disney-owned properties and have opinions on whether we'd be happy going there as a destination? Aulani every year would be awesome, but not within our travel budget coming from the mainland! Kids are 7 and 11 and do love the parks, but I think the crowds get to them lately. DLR was rough in Apr with all of the closures. We are going on DCL for the first time over New Year's, but if cruising doesn't seem to be a hit with the family, I wondered about Vero and Hilton Head Disney properties. We're not DVC owners, so I didn't want to post there, but if it makes more sense for this to be there... please feel free to move it!
