Best deals on Southwest flights?

Anybody have good tips on getting good deals from Southwest airlines? We don't have a airline credit card.

I have had the bet luck on release date and also about 3 months before the flights.

I also agree with release dates being one of the best times to get a good deal. Also, I know you said you don't have the credit card BUT it is an incredibly good deal even if you only get it for the initial sign up points. I received mine immediately after the first month statement closed (since I made the spending requirement in the first month). I do suggest maybe looking into it.
