Best Deal on Rental Car?

I just checked with National Emerald Aisle and was quoted $255.00 for Sat to late Sat. for full size car.. (that's using Disney Club & Entertainment Book discounts). Is this a good rate?

I have heard alot of people say that the rental car rates are really high lately.

Just last week I looked up rates for June and I looked up NAtional, Alamo, Avis, Hertz, Dollar, and budget.

Budget was cheaper by $50-$60 per week. I got a full size for one week for $158.

I will say that we were checking renting from the smaller airports so we didn't check LAX but we have also checked renting from the DL area too and budget was always cheaper. You won't get the fun of emeral isle (which i love) but for the price we didn't care. Haven't had much luck with getting bigger or cooler cars from Emerald isle lately anyway.

I found good rates at enterprise - they come and pick you up to pick out your car. The prices I found were in Anaheim (not at airport)- for a weekend rate (pick up after Noon Friday ,drop before noon Monday) were under $30 a day for intermediate .
If you have AAA ,Hertz has one of the best prices w AAA discounts and free upgrade codes.
The prices for National have been terrible lately, weekly rates at Dollar were a bit cheaper even w DC discount/emerald club discounts.

Depends on teh time of year. When you did the Disney Club discounts for National, did you use BOTH discounts? One offer gives the % off discount, and the other gives a free weekend day - you can combine the 2 in one reservation. You have to enter both the contract ID and the coupon ID, and take the coupon with you. If you don't have the coupon, you can print it out from the Disney Club website.
