We are heading down in May and need to rent a car. Just wondering where to start looking to get the best deal. There will be 5 of us and my youngest will need a booster seat.

The place I would start would be http://www.mousesavers.com/rentalcar.html. There is a pretty good list of rental companies and any current codes that can be used for a discount.

If you are a Costco member (or maybe even if you aren't) you can check their deals here.

I rented from Dollar last May at the Grosvenor hotel - now called Regal Sun Resort - just outside of Downtown Disney. I used a code I found on mousesavers and got a great rate.

Good luck!

Are you looking for when you get to WDW OR from Canada???

I'll second the mousesavers suggestion.

As for the booster seat, I'd take one from home. It costs about $10 per day to rent a car seat/ booster, and you never know what you're going to get. If you child is big enough for a low back booster, that can be packed in a duffle bag surrounded by clothes. If I were bringing a high back booster, I'd probably carry it through the airport and gate check it.

Keep trying these codes right up until your trip. I just got my husband a compact for 4 days for $63 from Tampa, using USA as the coupon code.

You can also usually get a great deal if you are a CAA member and book directly through them. Last year my brother and I paid around $100 for a week.

Cabmom, can anyone use the Walmart Corp code? Do they ask for anything at the car pick up?

No, I've never been asked. Even when I bought a Costco membership, to show I had a card for the car rental!

We used booking buddy (Hotwire.com) last year. After you sign up with hotwire they send emails of deals. It was 13.95 per day with unlimited miles. We upgraded for 5.00 a day our total was 227. 00 for 11 days. We had an Equinox.
