Best Days May 2026?

We're looking to go in probably early may - though our dates are extremely flexible. Looking for advice on when to plan this.

We just did a trip a few weeks ago and I think we timed it just about perfectly. We went from May 2 - May 5 (park days the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th). Spring breakers were gone but the summer crowds hadn't hit yet. Wait times were very reasonable and while I wouldn't say the park was empty, it was definitely far from packed. Plus the weather was fantastic with highs in the uppers 60s to maybe 70. Wouldn't hesitate to go again in early May.

The 2026 Grad Nights are already out. I prefer to avoid those days as parks feel more crowded with the high school groups plus D-CA hours are different.

I forgot - summer crowds are end of may huh? I'll have to deal with it being cold. Yes I know, most don't consider this cold - but Phoenix has wrecked me over the last 10 years.

We were just there over memorial day weekend and it was incredible. Saturday, Sunday, and Monday were so great. We averaged 16 rides a day with Lightning Lane of course. Tuesday was a different story, it was awful. We couldn't figure out why until someone mentioned grad night. I personally will avoid grad nights in the future. We went in expecting the worst because it was a holiday weekend and ended up getting the very best.

That's why i picked weekdays before grad nights even start.
