We are arriving in Anaheim on a Monday afternoon (by 4pm if all goes well).

We will be leaving Friday after lunch.

What morning would be best for MM and also for our Minnie/Plaza Inn CB?

And are earlier reservations for CB better?

8 days until I can call to make reservation!!

I wouldn't do them the same day. I'd do MM on Tuesday and get the earliest seating on Thursday. Even though you won't have another MM for Thursday you can still get a reservation DURING magic morning.

This exactly. Unless you do not have much on your list of to do's on friday. Then I would do the character Breakfast on Friday morning.

We always end our trip with a character breakfast. It is just our thing and it makes leaving a little easier for us. Last time we went we did not do one and it felt weird.

I always make a ressie!

Since MM will be on either Tuesday or Thursday for you. I would do the MM on either, and the CB on the other. I'd suggest making the reservation for 50 minutes before the park opening. This is the first reservation time available on MM days. It doesn't require an MM credit to do this. Make your reservation, and enter DL at the far left turnstyle. They will check you name off the list, give you your CB with Minnie buttons and direct you to the Plaza Inn. If you finish before the park opens for regular guest you can join in MM.

This way you get extra time in DL, and aren't wasting ride time eating.

Thanks everyone!

Tues MM and Thurs CB it is :-)

With Tuesday being our first morning in the park I doubt my 7yo would want to sit through a breakfast anyway..he'll be off and running at the gate!:yay:

Hahahaha!!! I admit to liking the ride. I sang the song to my DS the other day and he had no clue what I was singing. Is it in a movie or anything so I can introduce him to it? Hmmmm:scared1:

Wikipedia says this:

"Children of the World" was the working title of the attraction. The attraction's tentative soundtrack design featured each national anthem, playing all at once, which resulted in a cacophonous noise. Walt demonstrated the miniature mock-up to his staff songwriters Robert B. Sherman and Richard M. Sherman. As he and the Sherman Brothers walked through Walt said, "I need one song" a single song for the attraction which could be easily translated into many different languages and which could be played in round. The Sherman Brothers wrote "It's a small world (after all)" in the wake of the Cuban Missile Crisis, which influenced the song's message. They first presented "It's a small world (after all)" to Walt by singing in counterpoint while walking through the mock-up. The attraction became known as "it's a small world" after Walt Disney approved the Sherman Brothers' title song.
In the spirit of international unity, "It's a small world (after all)" was sung and recorded in various studios around the world – by a church choir in London, TV performers in Mexico City, a school chorus in Rome, and by local children from Tokyo and California.
It is argued that this song is the single most performed and most widely translated song on earth. The song tune and lyrics are the only Disney creations never to be copyrighted, as UNICEF requested, and can be heard worldwide on musical devices ranging from keyboard demos to ice cream trucks; it remains "a gift to the children of the world."

So no, it's not from a Disney film...

I think we have the same flight on a Monday.

If you haven't been to a CB before be sure to allow plenty of time for the interaction with the characters. When we went the first time I didn't realize the added time needed. Now when we go to a character breakfast I plan to be there at least 1.5 hours. Have the autograph books and camera ready. It's an amazing time with younger kids.

We'll be at the GC Mon 1-30 thru Fri 2-3 If those are your date we might see each other.

Fun time for all............

I don't even think the specific day really matters...I probably would not pair it with a early morning day because some of it would get wasted, but no matter which day you choose, pick the first seating! First seating at the Character breakfasts are not only beneficial for getting the most out of your park hours, but also for getting the most character interaction too! When we went to Goofy's Kitchen in April, even though it was busy Spring Break time, we chose the first seating (I think it was 7or 7:30) and the place was EMPTY! Goofy walked my kids hand in hand to our table and we got sooo much other character interaction too! We got to see everyone there for a long time! My middle daughter even got to dance solo with goofy for like 5 minutes! I have such great memories of them doing the twist together! hehe Lots of play and the kids had a blast...the only time you are actually OK with your kids not really eating their food! LOL Oh yea, and for mom and dad, the other huge plus was that the food was extra fresh and hot! ;)

I see you are a PacNW'er as well. We are driving from the Portland/Salem, OR area. No flights here....just traffic haha.

We're going in March during our Spring Break :-)
