Best CS lunch in Epcot?

I read great reports on Sunshine Seasons. Just back last night and the chinese area was the worst food we had all week. It was awful. Three of us had sweet and sour chicken and all three of us had bone in it!!! Kind of ruined our appetite.

People rave about Sunshine Seasons, I think it's bad (Chinese) to fair (pastry and salads) but great? Nope, sorry, I'd never give it five stars.

My favorites in World Showcase for counter service are the bakery in France (quiche is exactly what quiche is supposed to be, it's really good, and so are the baguettes and pastries), Morocco, and the udon noodle soup with a sushi roll from the Yakitori House in Japan.

You can also walk out of the International Gateway to Beaches & Cream in the Beach Club resort, for decent burgers, shakes and ice cream.

I'm not sure I would give any CS restaurant at WDW 5 stars. However, SS is certainly at the top of our list with 3 1/2 or maybe 4.

I agree. No CS is going to get 5 stars. In Epcot, we ike the Fish n Cips in the UK. The Electric Umbrella is a great place to watch the fountans in FutureWorld.

Electric Umbrella; if you don't mind getting simple fast food burgers, chicken sandwiches, and fries (it was only the burger I had on my entire 11 day trip so I quite enjoyed it actually!), their offerings are tasty, the view outside is fun, and though there are tons of indoor tables it was relatively quiet.

Yakitori House (Japan); small, quiet, quick, and great offerings! Their curry is delicious.

Cantina de San Angel; more 'americanized' than the offerings at the TS restaurant, but yummy offerings that are still 'different' than most CS in the world, and a great outdoor location. It's technically on the kids menu but I love the plato del nino!

Funny... I've never had the chinese food there because I really don't like any fast food chinese so, I don't order it. Have you tried the other stuff like the sandwiches are really good and the roasted chicken. I like the food here but I wouldn't give it 5 stars either in fact I wouldn't give any food at WDW 5 stars but that's just my opinion.

Bakery in France is great.

Sunshine Seasons has good variety and good quality - we always include it for lunch on our first Epcot day.

Norway - the desserts are good and the sandwiches are decent.

Tangerine Cafe for sure. The food is great quality and large portions (my hubby and I like to share a platter). But Sunshine Seasoning is also good especially if you are in Futureworld during lunch time. What we normally do is split something there for an early lunch around 12PM and then split something at Tangerine Cafe around 2:30 when we are in World showcase. We also prefer it this way because we eat less per sitting.

My sister absolutely loves the CS in Japan... I can't remember the name. (shame, shame) Sunshine Seasons offers a lot of options, but I cannot stand the atmosphere... too loud. Same for the Innovations restaurant.

I love the salmon at Sunshine Seasons... oh, and the strawberry shortcake too! I have to have it on every trip. It's better than most counter service and quicker than table service.

Sunshine Seasons, but I haven't eaten at that many CS in Epcot. They had a great vegetarian sandwich and an AMAZING strawberry cake thing-y dessert!!!

I will throw in another vote for the "strawberry cake thing-y dessert"!

I love the bread that they use for the turkey sandwiches too!

DD and I each had the combination plate from Mexico, back in November. When I got handed the plates, I looked at the lady and said "what happened to the beans and rice on the side?" She said they were inside the burrito now.

Not how I remebered it, and not what was posted on the sign. :confused3
