On a night when we are going to Epcot at night...we wanted to look at the Christmas displays at both the Boardwalk and the Yacht and Beach Club resorts. What is the best place for a CS dinner at either of those hotels?

Also, can you water taxi from one to the other?

There is a boat that will take you from the YC/BC to the Boardwalk. As far as CS at Yacht/Beach, it is really not so great---I love staying there, but it really is lacking in CS. I am not sure what they have for CS at the Boardwalk. You may want to get your dinner at Epcot before going to the resorts.

There is next to nothing in the way of counter service meal options at the Epcot resorts. You're much better off eating counter service in Epcot at the Land food court, which has a variety of options.

Forget the boat. It's much easier to walk around Crescent Lake.

I agree with briar rose about walking instead of the boat.

we stayed at BC in July, the burger at Hurricane Hannah's (the pool bar/CS by storm along bay) was the same as at Beaches and Cream, but a few bucks less! It was just under $7 with fries, and it was REALLY good!

anyone can order from Hurricane hannah's. it is outside the checkpoint for wristbands to get into storm along bay.(right along the promenade)
they have good mai tais, too! only 2 or 3 tables, though. ususally people sit at them while waiting to pick up the food and bring them to their table inside the pool complex) you might have to eat them while sitting on a bench along the promenade.. or eat them on a lounge chair on the beach! maybe there will be a movie playing!!!

if anyone is visiting the epcot resorts on a day they are NOT visiting epcot (a "down" day), if you stand on the bridge between beach club and boardwalk, it is a GREAT view of Illuminations!! you can hear the music a bit , too.

I don't think any of them are particularly good. None of the Boardwalk ones have indoor seating, nor does Hurricane Hannas (and they close when the pool closes). Beach Club Marketplace has really limited seating.

If you're not on the dining plan I'd go to Picabu at the Dolphin.

I'm guessing that you want CS as a money saving option vs a speed option. If that is indeed the case, I'd check out Beaches and Cream. It is table service but the prices are about what QS will be... a little bit higher due to Tipping, but close enough. As far as inexpensive its probably the best you'll get at BW/BC.

Otherwise, if you walk to epcot, the Fish and Chips stand in England is good, the French bakery has a good sandwich and quiche.

I posted that hurricane hannas only has 2 tables. but if I were paying OOP, and just wanted to grab a bite, it is a good option. (weven if I were using the DDP, after all, a lot of CS places at epcot son't have indoor seating (or any seating) either) I did forget to mention that it is closed when the pool is closed. what time does it close, anyway?
one time we stayed at the dolphin, no DDP, and I wish someone had told ME about hurricane hannas. the food at the swan and dolphin is ridiculously expensive.
I was only sharing info about how yummy and inexensinve the burgers are there.. if someone is stopping by while looing at the christmas decor at the epcot resorts.

At the Boardwalk their counter service locations would be the Boardwalk Bakery and the Boardwalk To Go food cart, however the difference over there they are not set up like the counter service locations at the Magic Kingdom Resorts. Instead they have several tables set up outside along the Boardwalk.
