We are thinking of upgrading to a deluxe resort from Coronado Springs. One of our main concerns is CS, since we will be spending some time at the resort during the day. Out of all the deluxe resorts which has the best CS and why? And am I correct that the Yacht & Beach Club and Boardwalk do not have CS? TIA!! :thumbsup2

You are correct. While they have places to grab something quick, the closest thing you will get to counter service at these places is the pool area -- hurricane hannas (at SAB). No place to get breakfast compared to value or moderate resorts. (Yes, there's the bakery for a quick pastry or sandwich). Not sure if the CR's quick service is under construction. There is roaring forks at the WL--the pickins are slim, but better than the choices at the EPCOT resorts. The Poly and GF both have a quick service areas too. Check the menu section for these MK resorts. OF course AKL has Mara's which is a good size QS/food court area, but not sure about lodging at the AK currently. While we like some of the delux resorts, we do miss the convenience of food courts at the value resorts. However, we always have a car, so we often will zip over to Pop for a quick meal or a way to use up some of our extra CS credits when on the DDP.

I have heard that Capt Cooks at Poly has been redone & is very nice. We like Roaring forks at WL. We have stayed at all level of resorts & the values have the best food courts, then Mods as far as selections go. It was a huge drop in selection going from Pop to AKL last trip.

I guess what you gain in atmosphere and ambiance, you lose in CS food. :confused3

We really like Artist Palette at SSR.

Not your typical CS... no burgers & fries but great alternatives, IMO.

Salads, "gourmet"-type sandwiches, flatbreads & daily hot specials. :thumbsup2

The Beach Club has the BC Marketplace, which I love for a CS meal. I've taken the boat over to the Polynesian from MK twice to eat at Captain Cook's-great CS and offers Dole Whips!
