I use citibank air mile card. I didn't apply the card, they sent the card to me a few years ago.
I get 1 air mile for every $15 I spent. The nice features are that
a. they (initially) did not have annual fee
b. no black out date as long as I book 21 days in advance
c. I will be charged by the actual distance 2 cities. (say my recent trip to disney, I need approximately 1700 air miles per ticket).
I had used it for 2 trips to disney and never have any problems in getting tickets. I used to think that it is good until I plan a trip to Vegas which requires approximately 4000 air miles
Note that in the case of 1700 air miles for disney, I need to spend about $25500 for one ticket, if I were to spend the money on a cash back reward card, I would be able to buy the ticket myself.
Hence, I just applied a citibank dividend platinum card which will pay me 5% on purchases at supermarket, drugstrores etc. I will deposit the money to my ING disney saving fund.
I will keep my citibank air mile card for shorter trips.
