Best counter service?

Hi

We're at DLRP for 3 days with only 2 park days. I've booked Cafe Mickey for the first night but don't want to end up spending all our time in restaurants as we're so short of time-can anyone recommend good counter services?
I will have the 2nd day in the studios so I need ideas for that too-

We have not used counter service in the studios park, but always found Cafe au Marionette in the main park to be good, and we liked Colonel Hathi's Pizza place too.

A lot of the food at the counter restaurants is quite similar, eg burger and chips, but there are some variations, eg KFC style chicken, pizza and pasta-it might be useful to have a look through the reviews on the restaurant sticky to give you an idea of the type of food they serve in each and make your decision that way.

Counter service can be ideal when you have limited time and aren't too worried about fine dining , though beware of busy times as you often have to wait for ages, and we have even found ourselves eating outside in January as there were no free tables!!

Our favourites are Toad Hall and Cowboy Cookout BBQ.

I like Cowboy Cookout and Hakuna Makata when it's open...but the wait time at counter service restaurants can be awful. Not really fast food, more like painfully slow food. Try not to go at peak lunchtimes.

Hi, When we are at the studios we normally just have a snack at the walk through bit where the cars are. Although the cafe at the far end near the Rock n roller coaster sell a super Croque Monseur.

I like Fuente del Oro best in the main park, with Cowboy Cookout coming a close second. I've also had really nice fish and chips at Toad Hall too.

In the Studios I like Backlot Express and Cafe des Cascadeurs.

On our last trip we really liked Cowboy Cookout, as Hubby likes ribs and wedges (I'm not a fan) we thought we would give it a go. The ribs were some of the best I've had in a long time and I liked the wedges. My eldest doesn't like burgers, so we tried the sandwich duo here (1 ham,1 cheese) she liked these.

Also, Colonel Haithis. It was nice to have a change here. We had pasta, which ok, was a bit overcooked, but was still nice. The sauce they put on was also nice. They also do Pizza.

We went to each of these tice while away, so I would recommend these

Hi !

For WDS : there are only 2 counter services in the park :
-backlot express for sandwiches (but very bad atmosphere)
-restaurant en coulisse for burgers (their tower burger is wonderful !), you'll eat in Studio's backstages and it's quite fun actually (2nd floor can give you a nice view over the "street")

For DLP¨I would recommand :
-CowBoy Cook Out Barbecue : very nice place at the fond of Frontierland, looks a little like a big chalet and they have a wonderful Chili Burger ! (or if you prefer meals with chicken or porc)
-Fuente Del Oro if you like mexican food, it's just in front of BTM's entrance
-Pizzeria Bella Note for... pizzas !
-Market House Deli on Main Street for hot or cold sandwiches and wonderful pastries !

For all the restaurant DON'T go between 11am and 2pm, you would waste much time in the lines... and don't go to café Hyperion in discoveryland, it's big but crowded and noisy

I agree about Cafe Hyperion. We've gone there in the past to combine having a snack whilst watching the Lion King show but wouldn't recommend it otherwise.
