What are the best counter service in each park. Where have you eaten and would eat again

Magic Kingdom
Disney Studio
Epcot
MGM

Columbia Harbour House in Magic Kingdom. Always sit upstairs near a window and people watch while eating.

I liked Cosmic Ray's in MK - you can actually get some healthy, non-deep-fried food there.

I also liked Yakitori in Epcot - it was nice to eat something different, again.

I did NOT like the ABC Commissary in MGM - it was overpriced, portions were small, and the food wasn't even very good.

I didn't mind Restaurantosaurus, but maybe because it was just like eating at McD's. Scratch that - it was way better - the burgers there were awesome!

My family is torn every time we go to AK, because we love both Tusker House and Flame Tree BBQ. Flame Tree usually wins, though because my 7 yo shows us what kind of appetite he's going to have when he's a teenager! He eats a whole BBQ sandwich and two sides there.

One of the best deals in WDW is the meal deal at AK. You get an entree w/drink, another drink (water or soda) and a popcorn or ice cream for 10.99 adult or 5.99 kids. The second drink or snack can be purchased at any of the carts.

At Epcot, we tend to eat at Electric Umbrella when we're not having a sit down meal. Chicken fingers and fries for three of us, but they make sure the fries are crisp.

At MK, Pecos Bills...amazing topping bar for your sandwich...think sauteed onions, mushrooms, cheese sauce. Yum. Although I'm going in two weeks by myself and think Columbia Harbor House is going to be the place I try this time.

We've done all of the counters in MGM and nothing is spectacular. Our MO has been to eat something in the room to get us until 11 or so, then we do a character lunch at Hollywood and Vine. It tides us through the rest of the day at MGM, then we can do whatever after we're done. The kids do like Pizza Planet, and now that I know they have Greek salads, I'll probably do that next time with the kids.

Hope this helps.

MK-definitely Peco's Bill's, with Pinocchio Village Haus second

Epcot-Yakitori; did not like the Electric Umbrella at all!

MGM-Pizza Planet was surprisingly good

AK-Pizzafari (see a pattern here, lol!). We have not tried Tuskar House or Flame Tree yet, but enjoyed Pizzafari a few times

Magic Kingdom - Main Street Bakery, Casey's
MGM - Pizza Planet, Starring Roles
Epcot - Beaches and Cream
Animal Kingdom - Flame Tree BBQ

The salmon at Tusker house in AK was really good! Pizzafari is decent, but we have better pizza here in NJ.

Cosmic Rays in MK also has the toppings bar. columbia harbour house for quiet.

Mgm - ick! have to keep trying.

epcot - the place in morocco, yakitori.

Definitely Columbia Harbour House in Magic Kingdom was the best for us. We did not enjoy the ABC Commissary at MGM either. Selection wasn't very good, at least not to our tastes.

We can't seem to find 1 counter service restaurant that our family of 6 all like. At MGM, 3 of us usually grab a seat for Fantasmic about an hour before it starts(sometimes 1.5 hours depending on crowds), and 3 of us get in 3 different lines across from the entrance for different things. 2 of us share a turkey leg and some fries, 1 child gets chicken nuggets, 1 gets a hamburger, and 2 oldest daughters get a baked potato and something else. We all tried Backlot Express for lunch a few years ago, and really liked it(it has a toppings bar), and our friends really enjoyed Pizza Planet. We did not care for ABC commissary at all. At AK, we like Tusker House, Flame Tree, and 2 youngest like pizza at Pizzafari. At MK, I think most of the counter service is pretty good, but we usually find our way back to Tony's for lunch so we have only tried 2-3 counter service places. And at Epcot, we like Yakitori, UK fish and chips, hamburgers in America, dessert in Norway, beavertails in Canada, nachos and churros in Mexico...let's just say we never leave Epcot hungry!

MK- Pecos Bills was eh. Haven't really eaten anywhere else counter service in this park.

Epcot- Tangerine Cafe in Morrocco is great with a voucher or without! Lamb, cucumber sauce, cuscus, etc. Easily feed 2 adults on one voucher here. This place is my favorite CS in the whole WDW.

Becahes & Cream also good value, but we thought the sandwiches were not very tasty. The ice cream though- yum!

AK- Tusker house is awesome, but better to do the AK Meal Deal then the QC voucher here.

MGM- has pretty much no good counterservice. We like Backlot Express, but its a burgers and chicken strips type place. They do have yummy carrot cake. I would splurge for Mama Melrose at MGM.

Some really great ideas Someone mentioned that there is a meal plan in AK. The childs is 5.99 do they only get to pick something from the childrens menu. I just cant wait to go

Yes, child's price= child's items.

My favorite was Pecos Bills- but that's because I get my money's worth in mushrooms. I prefer the meat with mushrooms- thank you very much. LOL My kids liked the fries there better than the fries at the other little fry vendors (whatever they are called) although I don't know why. Are they the same? LOL

Also have to say carrot cake at Backlot express was great. I can't remember the name of that counter service place that is like under a big open "building" that had a store in it- right in front of where the Osborne lights were? But they had good BBQ beef & chicken there while the kids had chicken nuggets. :) I don't think that's called Backlot Express is it? I was thinking it was near that but not right there... dang my memory. LOL

These will echo what others have said but here it goes:

MK - Pecos Bills (awesome toppings bar) Cosmic Rays (great chicken) Columbia Harbour House (a great escape from the heat)

Epcot - America for good burgers. Great Britian Fish and Chips (no need to say more ;) )

MGM - kids like Pizza Planet but like others I have no real favorite counter serivce here. I usually make a meal out of the soft pretzels and snack.

AK - The best counter service on property .... TUSKER HOUSE!!!! The half chicken is awesome and the kids meals are really good as well. The PB&J comes on rainbow bread. The sides are yummy as well.

There is a Dole pineapple ice cream stand at MK (in the pirate/ Sinbad part of the park) that is so incredibly good on a hot day, and surprisingly inexpensive for WDW. You can get cold pineapple juice, or pineapple juice mixed with soft serve ice cream, for only a few bucks -- and the serving size is pretty big. It is tucked away on a side street so it's easy to miss -- but we never do. I realize this is a snack, not a meal -- but I love it so much, I must share it with you all.

I love Pinnochio Village Haus in Fantasyland--it is such a cute place! We always stop in at least once a trip.

ceecee, Columbia Harbour House is right at the "gateway" between Fantasyland and Frontierland in MK. It's pretty much right across the sidewalk from the entrance to Haunted Mansion. I think it gets overlooked for some reason. Plus on the inside, lots of people don't realize that there is an entire upstairs with tons of seating.

They have great food and the upstairs gets us out of the "traffic". Try it sometime! :D
