We will be getting to ASMo midafternoon on a Sunday and do not have park tickets for that day, but our dining plan will be in force then so I would like to eat supper somewhere outside the parks themselves that is still good. We have the counter-service plan.

What would you recommend?

I have not eatten at Wolfgang Puck express but I hear so many good things about that place. It is in Downtown Disney.

My favorite CS. is Port Orleasns French Quarter Sassagoula Floatwork and Food Factory <

My favorite non-park CS is Mara, at AKL. Their butternut squash soup is so good! It tastes like warm pumpkin pie filling. I love their vanilla/vanilla cupcakes-although they're probably the same as any Disney resort, they taste better to me there. Of course, if you're not a cupcake fan, there's always zebra domes.

Another vote for WPE. Great food that is cooked to order. A huge menu. And even creme brulee for dessert! Seems more like a TS!

Plus, we love walking around DD before visiting the parks...seems like a relaxing intro to the trip! No need to worry about rushing back to a park for an evening fireworks show.

This is our plan for our Xmas trip!

I would recommend Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney Marketplace and Contempo Cafe at Disney's Contemporary Resort.

1. WPE in DTD
2. Capt Cook's at the Poly. Plus you can get a Dole Whip! :mickeybar

Deefinately WPE!! The portions are huge and you feel like you are at a table service because you are served your food by a waiter. One of the best CS meals through all of WDW

Wolfgang Puck Express - Both food and service were better than many of our TS in the Parks. LOVE it there - Pizza, pasta, roast chicken...and the salmon was the best I have every had..anywhere.

Pepper Market at CSR. Also Earl of Sandwich. We ate at WPE at West Side DTD and it was OK but werent that impressed to be honest - food was OK but tables were dirty and packed close together - isnt there another WPE the other side of DTD and is this the one the previous posters are talking about?

Yes, there is one on the Marketplace side. They have both indoor and outdoor tables. The food is yummy and a wonderful value. You order and pay and then are served at your table on real plates. It's a definite do!

Downtown Disney:
Wolfgang Puck Express in the Marketplace section, Earl of Sandwich.

Polynesian:
Capt Cook's

Port Orleans:
Riverside Mill

Besides All Star Movies Food Court...

I would take the bus to DTD and either WPE OR EARL OF SANDWICH...

Walking around DTD is fun and I love the area...

Have fun planning your trip

Contempo Cafe in the Contemporary is great. You could ride the monorail after eating, to get even MORE excited about hitting the parks.

We really like Wolfgang puck Express. It's our favourite QS restaurant of any location in disney. We can't believe the quality of food and value.
