What is your favorite thing to order at the Coral Reef???? Most of our other table service meals are buffet or family style but Coral Reef. Should I just stick to the steak?

I love Coral Reef - I've always gotten the steak there & it has been superb each time. My FIL was with us this year when we ate there on 9/4 & he got the Mahi Mahi - said it was the best he had ever eaten & he knows his seafood - being a resident of Maryland's Eastern Shore.

The steak is the only entree I've had there, and it was excellent! It was better than the steak I had at Le Cellier on the same trip.

I was not impressed with the steak at Coral Reef (we have dined here many times). The only dish I've had there that I really enjoyed is the mahi mahi.

My husband and I were not impressed with the steak there. I got the Mahi Mahi and it was amazing!

Steak & Blackened Catfish also the Chocolate Wave!!!!

I had the seasonal catch with scallop mushroom risotto last year and it was the best meal I had the whole trip! I am so excited to go back and hope they have it still so I can indulge again :cloud9:

Enjoy:goodvibes

We dined at Coral Reef in 2006 and both had steak. It was awful. One of the worst steaks we've ever had. Maybe it was an off day or something but I wouldn't order steak.

we were there this week we were so disappointed. we waited 1 hour and we had reservations.. I had the beef short ribs it was fair and my DH had the chicken breast and it was horibble.. just our opion:confused3

Both DS (who was 6 at the time) and I had the MAhi Mahi. It was fabulous - I wanted to lick the dish after it was gone.:goodvibes DS still talks about that meal as well.

We have been to Coral Reef at least four times and each time I have had the steak, but that was when it came with things I liked. Now, it comes with some rabbit food and roasted potatoes, so I will likely go with the recommendations of others made here. The steak isn't bad, but I don't care for roasted potatoes or rabbit food, if you do then it is not a bad option.

We have been to Coral Reef a couple of times. The first time my DH and I both had a sword fish dinner which was excellent, probably the best meal of our trip (this was in 2005). In 2007 we went back and got some other type of fish that I could not even tell you (it wasn't good), and was not impressed at all. We didn't go back in March because we thought we would try something else, but for our December trip I had made an early dinner ressie because we thought we would try it again so now I too am perplexed as to what to get. The Mahi Mahi that everyone is talking about sounds good....thanks for the suggestions, I just wish they had the sword fish still, that was my favorite.

What we eat at Coral Reef and enjoy. We are not food critics and are a bit picky, except for DH, who eats anything which tastes good.

We went this past January (2009). It was such a great experience. Loved it, and will be going back on this next trip. I had some sort of seafood pasta, and it was delicious. My father got the special for the day- I want to say it was catfish- and he loved it. We all tried some, in fact, delish! I don't remember what my mom got, but we all loved our entrees. We're also very adventurous eaters though- Boma is hands down one of our favorite restaurants. We're bringing my best friend on our next trip, and she's trying hard to like seafood, so we'll see how it goes. I'm kind of nervous to be honest, but she said she wanted to go to the restaurant so badly and doesn't care if she has to search on the menu to find something.

Oh, my mother had the mahi mahi, and as above posters have mentioned- it's so good! We also ordered dessert. I had like a chocolate cake I think. I don't really remember. Dad had an espresso, and the presentation was fantastic. Came with a lil lemon rind rolled up. Very cute. I think we also ordered like a creme brulee... sorry I was more in awe over the ambience the entire time, but that's not to say that the food wasn't delicious!

We always get the strip steak, and have found it to be fabulous (almost as good as Le Cellier). I couldn't imagine trying something else. :thumbsup2
