I love cheese. The saying goes: Something old, something new, something goat, something blue.

That being said, where can I enjoy the best cheese at Disney?

Rose and Crown Cheese Plate - Irish Cheddar, Mushroom Brie, and Stilton Pastry with individual accompaniments

Garden View Lounge Afternoon Tea. Best cheese plate EVER! Here's the menu. :goodvibes

I didn't even think about this. I am not a tea person at all, however, some cheese and the gentleman's tea platter with a glass of sparkling or a pint of Stella sounds like the perfect refuge from a warm afternoon at the MK.

Would I feel out of place without partaking in the tea?

This and a Half and Half- count me IN!

We like the cheese plate at Rose & Crown, and also at the Yachtsman. I can't remember exactly what is on either (and it changes), but both are very good and come with excellent accompaniments. For example, one of the cheeses at R&C comes with really good jellied onions, another with grapes, another with candied walnuts, etc.

Absolutely not! My father doesn't, and he was fine. :goodvibes

Flying Fish has a great cheese plate. They have bar you can eat it at, plus they have a seperate "bar" overlooking the cooking area.

Anyone have pics or specifics about the Jiko cheese plate. We're heading there for our anniversary next month.

Flying Fish would be my choice.
Yachtsman Steakhouse a close second.
Have not tried Jiko yet, but it's on the 'to do' list.

I've had the cheese plate at almost all the signature restaurants (I think Citrico's is the only one I haven't tried), and Cali Grill, by far, is the best. This is the only place where all the cheeses AND accompaniments were identified and described for us. The wait staff was very knowledgeable about what they were serving. They even suggested a great dessert wine to enhance the flavor of one of the cheeses we liked.

Flying Fish DID identify the cheeses, which is a great step up from Yachtsman and Artist Point, which couldn't even tell you the family of some cheeses (i.e. cheddar! or the like). I'll taste the cheese regardless of whether I know what it is, but it enhances the experience if you know what it is and some history on the kind of cheese or the process to make it or whatever. At most of the signatures, they just hand you a plate of cheese and accompaniments. At CG, it's more of an experience....

Just my 2 cents.

I am a huge fan of having the cheese plate at the bar option. The Flying Fish is definitely a must do now.

I see in the R & K Pub they have a lot of different half and half's to go with that cheese plate, which is the best, I'm getting thirsty.:cool1: :hippie:

Hi, Is the "bar" seating walk-up or ADR?? I remember seeing the Cheese Platter on the menu at FF and thinking IF I ordered it there was NO WAY I could eat a dinner (and dessert ;) ) after the cheese platter! But this would be great at the "bar" with a drink or two!! Joan

A Jiko cheese selection. I am sure they vary the cheeses.

I just had the Flying Fish selection on Saturday, it's excellent. (I ordered it for dessert)

We enjoyed the cheese plate as a snack credit at Boulangerie Patisserie in Epcot (France). It was so delicious! I love me some cheese!!!!
