Hi

I have a 4 year old who talks about Disneyland every single day to the point where she is now saying to us daily and to friends that for her 5th Birthday she will have a Princess Party and we will then take her to Disneyland after. She absolutely loves it and as her mum I just dont want to disappoint my baby.
After convincing my husband he agreed but now wanting to change his mind again. I saw an email today and found really cheap prices but need advice before I book tomorrow.

How important is the hotel if we go in the summer. I wanted to go in August but the sale is for before end of July so thinking of going the first 4 days which will also be my birthday. My 4 year old will be 5 in end of Oct and should I take her during that time I understand it will be the whole Halloween theme and I am 100% sure that it will spoil the whole Disney experience for her as she doesnt even like the witches in her fairytale books and refuse to dress up for halloween unless its a fairy or princess dress.

The Santa Fe is comin in at £48 less than Disney Cheyenne and Sequoia Lodge £90 more than Cheyenne. I would have loved to go for New York but reviews are also mixed and most people say that the magic is outside. On the telly it looks all magical and I really dont want to disapooint my daughter. The Disney Hotel at £1300 would have been affordable if we didnt just come from South Africa for a month so really need to pay as little as possible.

I also have a 13 month old daughter and husband who eat loads. How much would I have to budget for a 3night/4 day stay?
Many thanks if you manage to read this far.

Hi Deedee79 :welcome: to the Disneyland Paris Trip Planning & Community Board.

Hoping you'll have lots of fun on here    please join in with any thread or if you have any questions please start a new one of your own.

If you haven't had a look yet, the DLP DISboard posting rules are here and the DIS posting guidelines can be found here. :)

There are bound to be more offers so if you'd rather go in August ..... or even in October (where the emphasis is on fun Halloween rather than scary Halloween) then I'd wait .....

As to which hotel, then I'd go for whichever suits your budget best. The Cheyenne is themed like a Wild West town and although the outside theming of the Santa Fe is maybe not as popular that £48 would go a long way towards a nice meal or a few souvenirs.

If you look at the Restaurant Review threads (links are in the sticky at the top of the page) as Carrie Cat has very kindly posted up recent menus and prices for many. Also check out DLRP Magic - even if their menus are out of date you'll get a rough idea of prices and what type of food they serve.

Happy planning! :wizard:

I would agree that if you want to go in either August or October you'll probably be better waiting for a deal closer to the date. We took our DD for the first time at the end of September and the weather was great and the crowds low which is ideal when you have small people!

The Halloween theming isn't scary and I doubt you would want to keep your little ones up for the party at night-time. I'm sure she would love it! You can have a totally princess themed visit quite easily!

Regarding the hotels, I've not stayed in the Santa Fe or Cheyenne but can say that the Sequoia Lodge and New York are both lovely! :thumbsup2 As is the Newport Bay Club. The rooms are very similar, but larger in the New York. This may be relevant if you are trying to fit a cot into the room as well as 2 double beds?

If your DH eats a lot, you may find that the buffets are a good option for you, your youngest would eat for free and you should be able to find something that the birthday girl would enjoy too! The restaurant review threads are great for getting an idea of prices and menu choice. You can spend as little or as much as you want on food in my experience! The table service restaurants often offer fixed price menu options which can be good value if you like what's on them! We have joined the shareholders club which gves us 15% of our restaurant bills, alternatively, you can buy the meal plans when you book and have your food pre-paid.

I would recommend at least one character meal on your trip - they are a wonderful experience and available for a variety of meals, characters & budgets! pixiedust:

Have a read through the trip reports which will give you a real feel of what to expect, opinions on hotels, restaurants, rides, etc!

Happy plannning :goodvibes
