Best Character Meal for Boys?

Any suggestions for the best character meals for 3 boys ages 7,7,3?

My son is 6 and loves Chef Mickey's. Also good are the Garden Grill in the Land at Epcot and Donald's Breakfastasaurus in Animal Kingdom and Liberty Tree Tavern at Magic Kingdom. All are mickey and friends or minnie and friends. Used to go to Ohana breakfast but he's not so into lilo and stitch as the mickey and friends characters. These are good for all ages.

Also fun for the little one was the Playhouse disney meal at MGM at Hollywood and Vine - we did it last year so he was 5 and a half and loved it - jojo and goliath and two of the little einsteins. The best part of the meal was it was set up specifically for little kids and they danced and sang and had 'hosts' walk around and keep the kids excited.

do you know if any of these have crazy reservation times? I have heard it is nearly impossible to get into breakfast at the castle and wonder if any of these are just as bad?

We have two boys as well 4&2, and I booked Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner and Crystal Palace for lunch. Booked today and they had availability for Sept 17-22

Ds loved CP (Pooh & Friend) and Hollywod and VinePlayhouse Disney) last year. This year we have CRT booked (more because he is so wanting to be IN the castle than for the princesses) and O'Han's at the Poly (Lilo & Stitch).

My boys loved both CP and Chef Mickey's. They loved watching the monorail come through the restaurant at Chef Mickey's.

For Boys I would consider Donald's Breakfastasoarous at Disney's Animal Kingdom. We do this every trip and for our upcoming trip we are going twice. Its a great character meal with Mickey,Donald,Pluto and Goofy. Characters are subject to change...as they say. BUT in all the years we have gone its been those 4. Its a buffet and the interaction with characters is always top notch. Go early before the park opens, around 8-8:15am, by the time your done you can walk on many major attractions for about an hour before the crowds really get in.

Depends on how you like to vacation - and there are more options for breakfast with characters. We have done lunch with Playhouse disney and it was a perfect way to break up the day at MGM in the July heat. Have also done Chef Mickey's on our first night for an early dinner when we are already tired so it's a nice thing to look forward to on a tiring day (we drive overnight to get there from NJ generally). We've also done Garden Grill for dinner at Epcot.

I think the meals inside the parks are easier for meals other than breakfast but the hotels seem to make the day flow better for breakfast meals.

In answer to another question - none of these meals are nearly as hard to get into as the castle but I have had trouble getting to Chef Mickey's at a good time of day if I don't do it at least 2 months out for an off season trip.

My son's favorites have been Crystal Palace (any meal), 'Ohana breakfast, and LTT, although I was very disappointed in our last trip to LTT. We've always had a great experience there, but this last time we had a terrible server and the character interaction wasn't nearly as good as previous trips.

I prefer doing lunch or dinner. If we're going to get up early, I'd rather be at the parks at opening time and I feel rushed if we're trying to have a character breakfast first.

I'd rather take a nice relaxing lunch or dinner break after spending the morning/afternoon in the parks.

Our family favorite with DS5 and DS7 is the Ohana's breakfast with Lilo, Stitch, Mickey, and Pluto. We went at 7:30 and had wonderful character interaction. Stitch was so bad -- he sat down at our table and banged his fists on the table. He threw the sugars, sweeteners and jelly packets all over the table, including at me and then pointed to my sons suggesting that they had done this!! He was running around the restaurant with my son's Stitch's ears and wouldn't give them back. He completely made the trip! Mickey was just an added bonus! The food is served family style and the mickey waffles were a big hit! The food is very good and you don't have to leave your table! There is a parade around the restaurant once an hour and the children are given shakers to join the fun. It was an awesome meal and is definitely on our list to return. This is an awesome meal for boys!

WE ususally do 2 character meals per trip - one for breakfast and one for dinner. FOr breakfast we try to get the first seating of the morning, this was we are still in the parks at a reasonable time. For dinner we will also get the first seating, usually around 4:40 - 4:45. This works for su becasue we usually will go to the parks in the am, head back for a swim and/or nap and then head back out again after a bit of a recharge, but is still early enough in the evening to enjoy some shows and rides before the parade(s) and/or fireworks

Our family's favorites......

For breakfast... Ohana. My boys love seeing Mickey, Pluto, Stitch and Lilo. They love the parade around the restaurant. We love that the meal is served family style vs. a buffet. We love visiting the Poly and then hopping on the Monorail to Epcot (stopping at TTC 1st) or going to MK.

For Dinner.... Liberty Tree Tavern. Again, this meal is served family style. This meal has Minnie, Goofy, Chip & Dale. We just love this meal.
