any suggestions for the best character meal for 3 boys (ages5,4,1,) would be?? We are going in July for a week with the dining plan. Just trying to get my reservations in..Would love any more cool places the kids would like to eat. (it doesn't have to be with characters) Thanks

I've taken my nephew (3 yo) to 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian and to the Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club and he has liked them both

I just asked DS (who was 5 on our last WDW vacation) and he says the
Sc-Fi is the coolest!!! (Our DS,1 also loved the atmosphere - kept him very entertained!) His 2nd fav. was Garden Grille - loved decorating his own cupcake! We actually saw each of the characters a few times here! And he gave Rainforest a thumb's up too! :thumbsup2 Good luck with your decision - there are SO many great places to choose from, you can hardly go wrong!

Chef Mickey's because the food is good and the kids enjoy the characters! As info, there is also a chance that there might be a new character meal at Hollywood and Vine featuring Buzz Lightyear, Woody and possibly other Pixar characters. Rumor has it that it may start sometime this summer.

Man that buzz and woody meal would be awesome, we are staying at the All Star Movies because they love Toy Story!! I have that sci-fi dinner down on my list of maybe restaurants..this is hard...lol

I also have 3 boys under 5 yrs old and these are the character meals they enjoyed ~ Donalds in AK, Chef Mickeys and Ohana (they loved Stitch acting naughty). They hated CRT and 1900 Park Fare too girly for them . They loved Sci Fi for lunch. Another big fav was WCC at the WL they loved the pony races and all the antics. I think the tentative start date for the Toy Story/Boy character meal is June which is after we go ~ Oh well , we just have to go again when they start it. The sacrifices we mothers make ;)

What about Ohanas? Does it compare? We have ADR's for this one (first trip to WDW so we're making blind decisions on this).

I have 2 boys and they liked Ohana's & Chef Mickeys the best. The youngest one really liked Crystal Palace the most.

They also LOVED Teppanyaki and WCC as well as the outdoor movie w/smores. If you don't know about this, make sure you go, it was a big hit!! Just bring some pants you don't mind they totally trashing. They were black with soot and dirt, but it was a blast!

My kids are too old to care about character meals (they're 9 and 10) but we went to Crystal Palace anyway and we all LOVED it.

The food is top-notch for a buffet and the desserts are unbeatable.

The Liberty Tree Tavern (mk) is the best! It is a family style meal. Layer upon layer, upon layer, of food is brought out. There are mashed potatoes and gravy, macaroni and cheese, turkey, ham, dressing. Anything you can think of! I very highly reccomend it. :thumbsup2 I am not to sure about the pricing though. There are also characters that come out during the meal who greet little ones and have a quick picture and autograph.

My boys were 4 and 6 when 3 years ago and LOVED Chef Mickey's. At that time, the food was pretty good too.

Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace.

Given that Boys tend to age out of Pooh quickly sometimes, I might opt for the CP while they're young. But you can't go wrong with either. Also, none of them are to the Get Rid Of Slimy girlS and everything girly along with it stage yet so even 1900 would be in play. That's good too.

i agree with liberty tree, its great food and all you can eat without having to get up and refill your plate. its a colonial theme though and the chracters are dressed up an theres no mickey! :( so chef mickeys is a great choice too!

I was going to suggest The Garden Grill at Epcot.

This was always one of our favorites because we loved the food and you get to see Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale. I do know that they changed the menu, so I'm not sure about the food, now. But we have always enjoyed it in the past.
