How long will you be in town and will you have a car while you are out here?
If you plan on venturing away from DLR for a day and up to the L.A./Beverly Hills/Hollywood area (a common thing for many DLR visitors to do), there is a very popular and well-reviewed counter service place up this way called
The Gumbo Pot, located in the Original Farmers Market at Third Street and Fairfax (right next door to the lovely outdoor mall, The Grove), that you may want to try. People
love the food at the Gumbo Pot. It's owned and operated by folks from New Orleans, so the food is very authentic. Try Googling it online and you will see the fabulous menu. They have everything you could possibly want, I think.
If you will have a car and can make the 45-minute trip to L.A. and 45 minutes back, I think the Gumbo Pot would be worth the drive!

(Not to mention the fact that the Farmers Market has all kinds of other amazing food from mom & pop-type of operations/family-run businesses, and The Grove is a hangout for celebrities and a nice place to shop, so it would make a good day trip anyway!)
