Is this offer good in the store today?
They aren't making anything bigger than 16gb in the older model anymore. That's the model all the deals are for
I ordered one online before 7am (Central), and it was only available for store pickup, not shipping. At noon, I got an email from Best Buy letting me know that it was out of stock at my local store, and I should call a toll-free number for options. I called the number, and a recording told me that they were all out of iPad Minis. When I got home from work, I called the special customer service number for Elite Plus members. They put me on hold for six minutes, and then disconnected me.
I also had an experience in April where they cancelled my online order. I'm done with Best Buy. Done, done, done.
So, where can I buy the iPad Mini online tomorrow/Friday/Monday? No stores near Grandma's house!
Mine has shipped out already. But my husbands who bought his at the same time is still not filled. I am hoping since he has an order number it will complete. Otherwise we will still be at walmart tomorrow![]()
I see several other people on Twitter with the same experience. I really hope that I can find another one somewhere, because it will be awkward if one kid gets one, and one doesn't. My husband ordered his two hours before I did, and I think he said he has shipping confirmation. They are going to be losing a LOT of business from our house, though. I had almost $3k in web orders already this year, and I wouldn't be surprised if my husband had more. (We both end up being default IT at work, and it's simpler to buy monitors, cables, etc. there and pick them up down the street than to order and wait for UPS.)Argh! Couldn't find a store in my area with availability for pickup, and now black and gray are sold out on line. Tried to get white for shipping, and it says "there was a problem adding to your cart".
Guess I'm waiting in line tomorrow....sigh.....

Crazy update - this morning they sent me another cancellation email, so I called the toll free number again. This time they didn't have the "sold out" recording, and I got through to a representative, who found one to ship to me. I got an email telling me that they are processing my order, but no tracking number yet. We'll see what happens!
