Does anyone have any advice for requesting a building to stay in at OKW - I see from the map that a lot of the bldgs sit adjacent to busy buena-vista drive which probably can be noisy during evening hours - what would be your opinion for a nice, quiet stay?

We stayed in the Old Turtle Pond Road area and it was always quiet. It's a very relaxing resort. I'm happy to be going back in Aug.

From my experience, I'd say stay away from Bldg 50. We needed a room for one night on very short notice (4 hours) and this was the only room available. All I can say is I'm glad it was only one night.

I always like something close to the Peninsular Drive bus stop

The quietest building I have stayed in is building 55. That being said, I haven't noticed any noise in any of the buildings except for those on Miller's Road from the Epcot fireworks at 9 each night.

Another vote for Bldg 55! Stayed there in Feb for a few nights and it was delightful. We were in a second floor 1 bdrm all the way to the right. There were cars around, but never did see very many people.

Enjoy your stay. We've stayed twice for short trips at OKW. We really need to stay for a longer period of time and really enjoy everything.

Just back last night from OKW. I had hoped for Bldg 55 but got 56 which was WONDERFUL!!!! Third floor (which i had requested) and the porch opened to a canopy of trees and a distant view of the waterway thru the trees. Most private porch location I have ever had at OKW. Stayed in Bldg 49 in November and that was surprisingly quiet too except for the golf maintenance which started pretty early. I am a big fan of the South Point area and will continue to request that location. I also love that it puts you close to the walking path to Saratoga and Downtown Disney. My only bad OKW location was once in Bldg 20 where the noise from the highway was noticeable but the noise from the buses (squeaky brakes) turning around right in front of our villa was HORRIBLE!!! So I always try to avoid bus turnaround areas.

Location within a building can make a difference too. We never heard a thing from the buses when we were in building 20.
