What is the best breakfast buffet-Character,or otherwise?;and how does one go about getting there in the morning, whether it is in a resort,or in a park?:confused3 We are'nt renting a car.:scared1:

We've done Crystal Palace, Chef Mickeys, 1900 PF & Norway as well, but our favorite is definitely Ohana. The food is actually quite good & they get the kids involved with a little parade. The atmosphere is wonderful. Our other experiences were also good though!

We have been to character breakfasts at Chef Micky's, Ohana, and Cinderealla's Royal Table. We prefer the character breakfast at Ohana. One, becuase it seems to be one of the few places where you can see Stitch. Second, and more importantly, it's an all you can eat, just like Chef Micky's, but they bring the food to you, as opposed to a buffet line. Plus, I love the juice they serve you at Ohana.

We also love Ohana's, and also Crystal Palace. We'd love Crystal Palace even without the early-ADR-access-to-empty-Main-Street thing, that's just a bonus to a really good buffet in a lovely restaurant with very friendly characters.

You would have a couple of options in getting there in the morning. I made a 730am ressie at Chef Mickeys and I inquired about resort transportation as we will not have a car either and MK doesn't open until 9am that morning. They said I should allow for at least 40 mins to arrive on time. The busses will be running that early,is what i was told, but not as many so you will want to get out to the bus stop about an hour before your dining ressie is what the cm told me. So I am opting for the second option for us, which is to get a taxi!! There is no way I am going to wake up at the crack of dawn to get ready to be out by the busses at 630am and then my chances of one showing may be very limited. Good luck and no matter where you chose for your character breakfast, you will love it. I have never tried O'Hanas but it seems lots of folks are enjoying that one.

Now DD, if your name doesn't give you a clue, maybe mine will.;) Lots of choices and in the Animal Kingdom at Tusker House, busses will get you there in plenty of time and in the park before it opens. They have everything from fritatas to Krispy Kreme donuts.

We loved the breakfast buffet at Boma in the AKL. There were plenty of traditional American-type foods but also lots of African choices. Everything was good and it was fun to try things we can't get at home.

We booked breakfast in Animal Kingdom for Donalds Breakfastasauraus and it was great. Our ressie time was 1 hour before park opening and we took a bus there from our resort no problem. What was great was we were able to walk through the park to the restaurant when the park was empty so we got some great pics without anyone in the way. It was a weird feeling going through the park with no one there, just a cast member every once in awhile guiding you. The food was great and all the classic characters were there too.

This time around we are for sure going to try Ohana for Lilo and Stitch breakfast as DD is a huge Stitchie fan.

I've never eaten there but a lot of people love Crystal Palace. For character breakfast we love O'Hana. Non-character Kona Cafe - Tonga Toast and Macadamia Pineapple Pancakes...mmmm!!:thumbsup2

We've done both Cinderella's Breakfast in the castle and Donald's Breakfastasaurus in AK. We really liked them both. Donald's was easy to make reservations for and was a very good all you can eat buffet. While there we saw Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto. We are definitely doing Donald's again for breakfast next time around. They also have a lunch buffet--I'm not sure about dinner.

Maybe I can be of some help. We really enjoyed breakfast last week at Kona Cafe. I was wondering how long it was going to take us to get there as we too didn't have a car. We got to the bus stop at about 7 for a 7:55 ADR. The MK bus pulled up immediately the bus driver made a big deal how our 2 kids were his first for the day and he let them pick some rings to wear, they got a kick out of that. He then said he would take us to the Polynesian. We were able to get seated when they opened up at 7:30. We also had an 8:05 ADR for CP and again we got there plenty of time. We also really enjoyed the food and the characters were great. Our favorite breakfast was the Princess Breakfast at Norway. My DD6 was ecstatic about meeting 4 of the princess. They gave her all the attention she wanted. Plus my DS2 thought they were great and he couldn't stop smiling from when Aurora kissed him on the cheek. The food was some of the best breakfast food we had on vacation. Plus the picture you get as part of the meal made the meal worth it for us. Sorry about the long post.

:wizard: Crystal Palace is a must for us every trip. The food is really good and the characters are fun. We love Kona Cafe for a delicious sit down breakfast without characters.

Our favorite is Cape May Character Breakfast. We love the atmosphere at the Beach Club. Minnie, Goofy, and Donald dressed in their swim wear is fun for kids and adults. Food is good too.

I second that! We love Cape May! The food is, by far, much better than the other buffets we have tried. I'm sorry for all of you CP lovers...but while the characters were fun...the food at CP was not that great, IMO! We've also done Chef Mickey's and CRT. My family and I just feel that Cape May is just more laid back than the others...maybe that was because we made a late breakfast ressie...we didn't feel as rushed to make way for the next group!

Another vote for the Ohana's breakfast here. It was, hands-down, the best characer meal of our January trip (and we did 5 in total).

This one is number one on our "do again" list. :thumbsup2

Excellent food (DS is STILL talking about their sausages, a month later), fantastic atmopshere, AMAZING character interaction, and the meal being served family-style (where they bring it to you) is so relaxing. No worrying about missing the characters while you are up filling your plate!

The juice is as good as some of the other posters have alluded to. Very, very yummy!

Service here was also top-notch....easily the most amazing waiter we encountered all trip.

We also did Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House, and while it was excellent as well (and would be a great choice), our heart belongs with Ohanas  .
