Best Breakfast

What's the dif between O'Hanas and Konas ? I haven't tried either yet, but yall made it sound great. How do they compare to Crystal Palace?[/quote]

Ohanas is character and Kona is not. We love both.
We also love Chef Mickeys and I think DH and I would go there ourselves just for the tradition.

Another excellent all-you-can-eat breakfast is at Fresh, in the Dolphin, plus there's a 20% DVC discount! :thumbsup2

This is different than 1900 Park Fare, right? Can you write about it a little more. Thank you.

GF Cafe is just around the corner from 1900 Park Faire. 1900PF is buffet with characters. GFC is order off the menu. Not usually as busy as 1900PF.

Ohana is family style dining with some characters for breakfast. Kona is order off the menu. No characters.

Hmmm..... We may have to try it. Hard getting ressies or walk up?

Kona Cafe if you're going to MK is my fave, with Whispering Canyon a close second. The Tonga Toast is very good...I'm going to try it grilled next time, because that's the one thing I didn't like - a little to greasy. Whispering Canyon has a great all-you-care-to-eat skillet, and I totally go for the bottomless shake (ask for neopolitan), it's the best on property! Both are nice atmosphere and it's cool taking the boat or monorail to either place.

If you're going to Epcot or Hollywood Studios, I am a big fan of Spoodles.

We aren't buffet people, but we are very tempted to try Boma one of these times.

If you're early enough, it never has been a problem for us to walk right in and get seated.

That's exactly why I don't like the original version. Definitely try it grilled. The cinnamon sugar doesn't stick as well, but it's sooooo good!

In April we walked up 3 times for breakfast and at least once each for breakfast and dinner (we really liked it!) We walked up for breakfast again in September during free dining. It's good food, just not a hugely popular restaurant since it's not a character meal. We used the DDE there and saved the 20%, and I think breakfast always ended up around $20.

are they better than POFQ food court?

I can't compare since I've never stayed at PO. It's stuffed with a sweet cream cheese type thing and chocolate chips, topped with fruit. :cloud9:

Do they give you that option? Is it one peice of TT? Enough to share or no way?

$20 for the 2 of you??? Nice......I think we are going to have to try it, any favorites?
Thanks for the help guys.

The tonga toast is a huge serving. My partner and I share it, along with the fruit plate (that fruit plate cancels out the calories in the tonga toast, right?) and it's more than enough food for us.

It's just one piece, but it is huge. I would say that it is at least two inches thick and 5 inches square. It's two very thick pieces of bread with bananas in between. Then they deep fry it and roll it in cinnamon sugar. The version I prefer gets grilled instead of deep fried and then rolled in the sugar. They won't ask you which way you want it prepared. You'll have to ask for it to be grilled if you want it that way.

Enjoy! I'll be having my next "fix" on January 3rd!
