Hello my fellow Disney diners!!

I have a very important question. What do you think is the BEST place for breakfast in WDW? I had a breakfast planned for one day on our trip at Cape May Cafe, but DH expressed that he doesn't want to eat there again. (We ate there last year).

I like the idea of a buffet because I LOVE breakfast foods, and with a buffet I can as much as I want of all of my favorites. However, I'm open to anything.

What's your favorite? A list of top 3 or 5 is fine too, if you can't decide. Also, pictures are certainly welcomed and APPRECIATED if you have them! ::yes::

I welcome all suggestions and I can't wait to hear what everyone has to say!

For a character -Chef Mickey's :worship:
For the best breakfast -Kona Cafe = Tonga Toast :worship:

Kona Cafe in Polynesian! Usually requires no ADR and the Tonga Toast is awesome.

Ditto. HOWEVER, if you asked my kids they'd say Chef Mickeys.

Tusker House Breakfast
Boma Breakfast
1900 Park Fare Breakfast

thanks for the suggestions. I looked up the menus on allears (dot net) and they all sound good! I really should try that Tonga toast one day...I think we will stroll on over there on one of our late mornings and have some OOP (the prices are not worth using a TS credit) but I still may schedule a breakfast for another day.

Anyone else? (Isn't food talk the BEST?!)

Actually, we usually do Kona Cafe for lunch rather than breakfast, though I still try to get the Tonga Toast. This just leaves open another opening to try some other place for breakfast if you wish.

BOMA!!!

We did Boma, Tusker House, and Chef Mickey's for breakfast this trip. Have done Cape May and Captain's Grill breakfasts previously. By far, Boma had the greatest variety, best atmosphere, and best food.

so another words, if you get an early lunch and a nice enough server, you can order the tonga toast?

I read the menu for Boma and wasn't too sure if my DH would like the more "exotic" things. However, we did enjoy Boma for dinner last year! :thumbsup2 So big possibility there.

I didn't realize they did breakfast there. any elaboration on why you like it?

There is plenty of normal food and just a few of the African inspired dishes on the buffet. I did my review of it today. Link in signature, if you are interested.:goodvibes

My fave breakfast without characters is Boma - omelet station, great choices, yummy.
With characters I have to say Donald's safari breakfast at Tusker House. Personally Chef Mickey's is too too loud and crazy for me.
Kona would be my second choice for no character. And I would NOT get the Tonga Toast. Way too sticky for me but they have a great breakfast menu and the best coffee at WDW.

thanks for the continued suggestions!

I still haven't made a decision so everyone feel free to chime in!

Yes, food talk is the BEST!! ;)

You could also get Tonga Toast at Captain Cook's, the CS at Polynesian resort. This is another option for breakfast...it is cheaper than the Kona Cafe. However, if you would prefer to sit down and be served your Tonga Toast, then Kona Cafe is a good option. I have never eaten at either one, but I did make the Tonga Toast recipe from the All Ears website for DH on Father's Day as a surprise breakfast, and my oh my was it ever delicious! DH also loved it...very unique and the banana just seems to melt in your mouth!

We loved Chef Mickey's breakfast for both the characters and also the food. A huge variety of breakfast items to choose from...something for everyone, from healthier options to the more indulgent ones. The only other breakfast we had was Hollywood & Vine, also a character breakfast buffet, which was also excellent, but it is in a theme park not a resort, so you have to also have admission to DHS the day you go. My kids love the Playhouse Disney characters which was why we chose that one, but DH and I also enjoyed it a lot!

ahhh, I didn't even realize you could get it at the CS restaurant too! That's probably what we'll end up doing instead of sitting down at Kona to get TT. Thanks!

I'll have to run Chef Mickey's by DH...I bet they're booked up for the time I want though (between 8:30-9:00...it's a water park day for us)
