Where would you recomend for the best breakfast in Orlando? popcorn::

We are after a proper waitress (er) served American breakfast where they ask how I want my eggs done. Some of the buffets we visited last year, although large in size, seemed to lack in quality.

We really enjoy Perkins breakfasts - the muffins are huge -all very tasty.

On property we like Donald's Breakfastosaurus, Fresh, Boma and Kona Cafee, RFC and GF Cafe.

Off property we like Sizzler and IHOP.

We liked IHOP last year, going to give Bob Evans (my name is Rob Evans!) and Cracker Barrell on recommendation of a friend and from Simons book.

I second (or third!) IHOP (International House Of Pancakes).... they have an AMAZING choice of breakfasts (including pancakes and eggs ANY style) made fresh to order. They are consistently of a good quality and very good value for money (especially compared with good hotels, where breakfast can easily cot you $20 a person...).

IHOP are a chain and can be found across the US.

Totally agree with you, breakfast being the most important meal of the day and all that, I would recommend the Village Inn, at the southern end of the i-drive, opposite the Sheraton World Resort. There's a massive choice and the servers are friendly, (even first thing in the morning), I can give no higher praise other than that we ate there 14 times out of a three week holiday. Also, a good place to get some cheesecake for supper as well!

IHOP, Perkins, Denny's spring to mind :thumbsup2 All are pretty inexpensive (not quite as cheap as the buffets at the likes of Golden Corall / Ponderosa, but nearly).

Of the one's we have tried prefer Ponderosa (South I-drive is best), Golden Corral or Key W Cools on the 192 in Kissimmee.

johnny,
whats the price / menu like at Key W cools, and is the service slow, (my Josh has ASO like yours)?
thanks

we loved ihop for breakfast. we always got there pretty early when it was quiet. there was something for everyone.

Perkins, it has to be Perkins.

Try a Sunday morning when the US families do it - excellent atmosphere even if the queues are a bit long. Can't beat French Toast IMHO.

If what you want isn't on the menu, just ask for it, it'll be their pleasure to do it ::MickeyMo .

Hi Tracy,

The service is fast and friendly, they do look after you.

You can order off the breakfast menu or they will cook to order your choices too, eggs in a variety of different ways etc.

Breakfast is good value for money, it was just over $20 plus a tip for the 3 of us.
Josh had scrambled egg on toast, with some sausage and hash browns.

We got there early, opens at 7, and we were out by 7.30...always a bit wary as he doesn't have much patience for restaurants so we tend to go to buffet style one's where we can guarantee quick service.
To be honest staying in a villa it's not often we eat out, but we are trying to build up Josh's confidence more so we have to push him really.

Ponderosa breakfast is also nice, about the same price but the restaurants vary in standard, tried the one on the 192 and it was poor to be honest.

KW Cools definitely worth a try, they do lunch/dinner too and have a good reputation for their steak's although I believe these are a bit pricey - haven't tried them yet.

The thing that we always remember is that we first visited there many years ago when we stayed in a (not very nice) hotel on the 192 , before Josh was born..KW Cools at that stage was totally isolated with nothing within a 1/4 of a mile of it. Now though there restaurants and hotels all over the area.

We have a character breakfast booked at Cape May for the 11th August which we are praying will go well for us.

Zovo see that you are also going in August too - I think if you are near the Kissimmee area then KW will be a good choice because they will cook to order. It also has the advantge of being a one-off restaurant rather than a chain such as Sizzler etc

Thankyou for all your suggestions so far. Need to lose a few pounds before August! :yay:

Denny's Grand slam! DW & DS would eat at Denny's everyday!! I also like Perkins but have found the service a bit slow on occasion but there warm Muffins are fab!
SD :thumbsup2 :firefight

For table service, cooked to order breakfast, Perkins Pancake House and Cracker Barrel are excellent. :thumbsup2

Thanks Johnny - we are staying at Highlands Reserve again - so we'll definitely give Key W Cools a try - it seems to be en route to the parks.
