Well I returned all of my Avent bottles and breastpump to BRU today. Now I am on the search for the best BPA free bottle that is reasonably priced. I was looking at using the Playtex Original nurser system or the MAM bottles but I would have to purchase them online. Evenflo also has some but they look pretty basic and not sure how they are for air intake. The MAM bottles look like a good alternative but they do have lots of pieces to take apart and I have read some reviews about leaking. Any recommendations from all of you disers who have already been down this path?

Our DD has been using Playtex Ventaires but due to them heating her bottles at daycare, we had her try a Playtex Premium Nurser (same as the original, excpet it comes with a silicone nipple rather than the latex). She did really well with the Nurser and didn't have any gas. I was actually surprised at how well she did because the nipples on the Ventaire are smaller and rounded whereas the Nurser nipples are larger and square. They seem to be very similar to the Avent nipples so your LO might do well with them too.

Playtex Drop In system was the best for DS. We were religious Dr Browns and Avent users for a time, then switched to the over priced Born Free's when we learned of BPA. Those just stunk:headache: ! So when I read that the Playtex drop ins were BPA free, I gave them a shot and LOVE them! They worked great with DS acid reflux.

I'm using the Medela bottles that came with my breastpump. So far, so good.

I also use the Playtex drop in system. They are very convienent to use and work very well with our DD who has reflux. You can push the air out before feeding and the baby gets hardly any. I use a Medela bottle that came with my breast pump for heating the water before mixing the powder in her bottle.

Love the Playtex drop in system. Used them with both of my kids and they worked great. I had the nursers with the silicone nipples. Neither kid really had any gas or anything like that since they didn't get a lot of air.

We use Playtex drop ins and love them...so convenient and easy to clean...

Another vote for the Playtex drop ins! Plus they are so easy to travel with!

I used the Platex Nursers for all three of my dds and loved them. Never had any problems at all. Both my sisters used them for their little ones too and had no complaints. I used the generic brand liners with my youngest and had no issues at all - plus saved some money. Just love them.

We have used the drop ins also for both DD's both had reflux. The premium ones with the silicone nipples are meant to simulate nursing. They are wonderful, like the Dr. Browns DD can drink them in a upright position. The liner collapses as the child drinks so they don't get the air in their bellies but you must make sure that you express the air from the top before you give the bottle to your child.

I'm using classic evenflo bottles. They come in clear and pastel hues and the best part is they are 3 for $3!

We use the Drop-ins as well! I had no idea they were BPA-free!

I chose them because I had heard they were easy for breastfed babies -- no nipple confusion. It worked, too.

My DS was use to his Dr. Browns when BPA studies first came out.
I decided to switch to the Gerber Clear Views but used my Dr. Brown Nipples and pipettes. DS would not take to another nipple and Dr Brown's were great on his belly. Remember BPA has mostly been found only in the actual bottles not the nipples, and most bottles are universal so you can customize. I did not have any problem with leaking at all. I did have to use the Dr. Brown smaller size pipes in the Gerber bottles. Gerber was the most cost effective change for us since I had already invested so much money in his Dr. Brown's.

Hi, my granddaughter started with Dr. Brown's plastic... then after the controversial news on BPA, we switched to Born Free BPA-Free - Now we switched back to Dr. Brown's GLASS bottles. It's a good thing our granddaughter is flexible (love the Dr. Brown's glass bottles...)
