Best books for Bedtime Story Time

It's never too early to read to a child. Since my godson lived with me when he was little, I started reading to him before he could talk. I would read Goodnight Moon and leave off the last word. He would try to finish it when he was learning to talk. My nephew loved it too and would have to have it read to him every night. Kids love Eric Carle books, Brown Bear, Brown Bear; Is Your Mama a LLama; any kind of rhymes. I would read Jack Prelutsky poems, Shel Silverstein, Robert Louis Stevenson, he loved any kind of poetry for kids.

Elephant & Piggie books by Mo Willems
Five Little Monkeys books by Eileen Christelow

Jamberry
I love my Mommy by Kate Gleeson
I love my Daddy by Kate Gleeson
The Snowy Day
While more geared for little boys any story by Virginia Lee Burton (Mike Mulligan, The Little House, Choo Choo, Calico, Ping, Katy, etc.)
Anything by Chris Van Allsburg (Jumanji, Polar Express, etc.)
Little Bear
Make Way for Ducklings
Berenstain Bears books

But really, anything she likes. Some of my kids favorites were the starter chapter books and picture books about their favorite TV shows (Dora, Diego, Scooby Doo, Blues Clues, etc.).

I second reading anything you both like.

But I'll also say "Dr. Suess's Sleep Book" is the best bedtime story ever! - It always made DS sleepy.

Eric Carle is great at your DD's age, and so is Robert McCloskey.
