Hello all,

In preparation for my family's upcoming vacation, I'd like to pick up a book (or three!) that will help us really appreciate the details around the park, and how they relate to Disney history. We're looking for something that goes beyond the basics and will be a nice collection to our bookshelf. I'd love to know what books you enjoyed!

check out imaginers look at magic kingdom, also epcot......... lots of facts & details you would never know. its amazing the details that you dont even notice

While this book doesn't have the pictures that some of the other books do, it is definitely one of my favorites. I recently read "Dream It, Do It" by Marty Sklar. Marty was there from the beginning working for the company and Walt. The book has all sorts of stories and anecdotes about the creation of the company, DL, WDW, and other parks. If you're looking for pictures, this probably isn't it. But as far as stories go, this one was by far my favorite.

If you can find it there was one brought out for the 25th anniversary of WDW that was called I believe WDW the first 25 years. Great old photos of the parks during construction.
Marty Sklar's book is great, so is Rolly Crump's a cute little story.

There is also books from Jim Korkis that have lots of history too, I think its called the Vault of Walt.

There is also the imagineering book from John Hench too.
