What restaurants at PBH are best suited for a toddler?
We will be staying at Portifino Bay with a 15-month-old son. He is pretty good at restaurants since we try to take him out 3 or 4 times a month. However he is a young toddler. He can be counted on to be patient for about 30 to 45 minutes. If the food is brought out quickly he will eat it with a fork and that takes him awhile. What I don't want is to get into a place that take a long time to provide our food service and then have him get antsy and disrupt the dinner's of the other people present.

If they are running the Italian buffet at La Trattoria, this might be your best bet. They will do a selection of pasta ( or pizzas) and you can choose the type of sauce you'd like with it. Carbonara, tomato based sauce, meat+tomato based sauce, a seafood based one ( unlikely IMHO ) . There was also a nice choice of salads, cold cuts, entrees, veggies and a roast rib joint. All in all it was a pretty good selection and although there wasn't a lot of any item at one time on display, they were very efficient in refilling the trays when they were getting low.

I second eating at Trattoria del Porto. The buffet or eating off the menu. I wanted to add that they have a kiddie area with a large screen TV, bean bags coloring books and crayons and you can request a table in this area. Thay also have a character meal on certain evenings.

Sal's is also a casual setting for pizza salads and sandwiches.

Splendido Pizzeria for brick oven pizza located poolside. They also offer burgers (really good) hot dogs, chicken fingers and salads.

Mama Della is a family style restaurant with excellent food! You may want to give that a try one evening. You can eat early and avoid the rush.

Thanks for the responses, that was the type of information I was looking for. I really love this site because of the helpful feedback and information you can get from the different people who share the same vacation habits. My wife and I are really getting excited about seeing Universal Florida since we have never been there. Thank you again.
