Does anyone have any suggestions for a softside cooler/lunch bag big enough to fit 4 sandwiches, a couple cans of soda, and some juice boxes but also small enough to fit in the underneath basket on our joovy caboose stroller. I want to make sure the bag keeps things cold enough because we are going next month and it's HOT!

I was searching for the same thing. Check out the web cite for REI. The reviews are very good and state there is no leakage from the softside coolers. Just enter coolers in the search bar and all of them will be shown. :)

I have a single thermal organizer bag from 31 that DH and I used in July. We used ice from the ice machine and kept the bag in a backpack. After 12-14 hour days in the parks, there was still ice left at the end of the day and what had melted was really cold. No problems with it at all

I agree with the thirty-one thermal bag suggestion! They are awesome.

Ok, this probably makes no sense whatsoever...BUT

Hubby and I carried 4 or 5 cold waters into the parks in JULY in a canvas bag. It was a Disney bag that we had bought in the parks on a previous trip.

The waters stayed surprisingly cold into the evening.
The topic of cold waters came up with a fellow tourist while waiting for Wishes. I handed him a bottle of water and said, its not the coldest thing in the world...but Its been in the bag since 9AM. He said, WOW! That is a lot cooler than I would have thought! Do keep in mind that it was a mild July...but I'm surprised that it wasn't bath water at 9pm.

Do keep in mind that if you put anything like a times schedule in the bag it will become wet and disgusting.

Do the 31 thermals leak or sweat at all? Did you use ice in it or an ice pack? The REI coolers look nice but I am wondering if people are using them only with ice packs and not actual ice. With the fridge situation at the resorts we may not have one so no way to freeze an ice pack every night.

I never had an issue with mine leaking or sweating. I use ice packs in mine, the ones I have aren't designed for holding actual ice.

Ours didn't leak or sweat. We used ice from the hotel in a big ziploc bag, not ice packs.

We use ice from the ice machine and put it in a ziplock bag to keep items cold. If the ice melts you can ask for a couple cups of ice at any QS stand and refill the ziplock bag. We have a thermo insolated 18 can tote that I got from Target. Works well for us.

The best bag I ever used came from Walmart.
In April we went to WDW and stayed in a condo.
When we left, we had food I couldn't bear to throw out.
I went to Walmart and bought an insulated bag in the sporting goods area where they have coolers.
Can't think of the name of it right now, but it's silver and kind of quilted.
When we left our condo, I filled a couple of ziploc bags with ice from the ice maker in our fridge.
We went to the parks for about five hours, then drove to Tampa to fly back to Ohio.
When we went thru security at TPA, the ice was still frozen!!!
I didn't have to throw it out because it was still within their guidelines of being solid.
We made it home after a five hour flight and an hour and a half drive home, and my food was still totally cold, and the ice was still mostly frozen!!!
I was amazed!!!
The bag is only about $15, and it is best thing I have ever used!!!

What brand was it?

I loaned it to my daughter, so I don't have it to be able to look.
I will be going to Walmart tomorrow, though, and I will try to remember to see what brand it is.

Ok, I checked at Walmart.
The bag is made by Coleman.
They actually have three sizes.
The largest is $14.88.
