Best Authentic Mexican

My husband and I LOVE Mexican food. I would LOVE to find a place in Kissimmee that is a good authentic place to eat. Does anyone know of any good places? We always stay right off Orlo Bronson. I want to surprise him next time we are down there and take him somewhere good.

San Angel Inn - EPCOT/Mexico

Not only the best mexican food in the area, it is the best restaurant in the world. I couldn't possibly try another Mexican restaurant while I'm in Orlando...I can't explain it...it would be like I'm cheating on the San Angel or something.

I'm sorry, but San Angel Inn doesn't have what I would consider Quality mexican food. I ate there at our last trip (fisrt time to eat there) and I was VERY disappointed! Our entire group was disappointed. We have a local restaraunt here in OKlahoma that serves really tastey food, our local place would have blown San Angel completely out of the water. I wouldn't consider them an option for Quaility Authentic Mexican food. MHO

I hate to say it but there is NO authentic food in the area around Disney (believe me, I know...babysat for a Mexican family as a teen and learned to love the real stuff). There is one good place but it's way the heck past the airport going towards downtown. Chevy's is good but not at all authentic. The best I've found in the area is Abuelo's, which is at the Loop (Osceola Parkway just before John Young Parkway).

Another vote for Abuleos at the Loop! We really enjoyed our meal there and it really isn't very far if you have a car. Grammy

Thank you! Yes we love Chevy's. We don't have one here in KC so we go a TON when we are in Kissimmee. The one right by DTD. Anyway, my husband and grew up in Southern California (I actually worked at Disneyland as a teen!) and we have always loved the authentic little restaurants. We actually have a REALLY good one here in KC. But I was hoping to surprise him with finding one in Kissimmee. Oh well. LOL We can always do Chevys I guess.
