OK Sharkey and FHS chick--I am so sorry--the dog had no one else to sleep with since the kids have been at my parent's house...so he had to climb in on top of everybody the last two nights!!!!!!!!!!!! At least he isn't a cover hog!!!!!!!!!!!!1

OK I took the tests--I am Ariel which is shocking to me --and I failed the map test ...although to be fair to everyone, I had to click 2 or 3 times to get it to accept the states I knew were right. If you don't have very good aim, you can forget it, sucka!

Hey DD and Dis Buds!!!

I had my interview today.


The place was very nice.. I had to sign in using a touch pad Kiosk and then it took my pic for badge...very strange, but cool!!

I had to take my pic like 5 times though as I kept blinking or it was blurry

I met with two ladies and they asked me a bunch of questions.

The hrs are 9-6. You start accruing vac time after 30 days...

THey just started something too..in addition to 10 sicks days a year, you get an additional 3 days if your kids get sick..How nice is that

The one lady then had some questions for me she said. I took over and see the dreaded form questions:

Where do you see yourself in 5 years ? What are your objectives and how are you going about to make sure they are achieved?

Name a situation where you went above and beyond to make a cusomter happy?

Blah, Blah, Blah...

Am I the only one who feels like an idiot when they put you on the spot like this?

There were 5 questions..I had to pass on the one, as I just couldn't think with people staring at me..

But, I made them laugh a few times and we chatted a bit.

So, we will see.

They have a few more interviews, but should have a decision by end of week.

So, I will keep your all posted!!

Please keep crossing your fingers for me.....and eyes, too if you like...

HI Sharkey--I had a great day yesterday!!! Sounds like yours was really bad-- so sorry. At least my kids can hit a bucket now!!!! When they were small, they would all get sick at one time, and cleanup was not fun. The pick search is going very slowly. Maybe this weekend I can get them all organized.

Well I have to pick up the kids today, so my relaxation time is over.

Yeah, it was not a good day. But, he sprang back to life around 7pm last night and was up all night...

Luck you on the buckets. I put one near him when it is about to happen, and he pushed it away screaming and it goes everywhere of course...

one time he went to swat the bucket and I moved it away, and he got my cheek instead...Ouch

I'm glad to hear that your interview seemed to have gone well!

I too hate those questions that put you on the spot. Especially if you don't like bragging on yourself to begin with. It's like, you don't want to look like you aren't proud of yourself but you do want to make it seem like you make an effort to help customers and such. Ugh!

But hopefully the fact that you made them laugh a few times will help them remember you when it comes down to who they will hire!

the hours sound great and accruing vac hours after 30 days!? wow! I had to work for my dad for 1 year before I was eligable for vac time. And the sick time thing sounds awesome too! With 3 extra sick days if your son gets sick...then you won't have to use up your sick or vac time! Bonus!!

I will keep you in my prayers and keep crossing my fingers and toes and everything else I can cross for you crossed!! (sorry I can't cross my eyes )

That's great that they seemed to be okay with the thought of you going to WDW in December. It's always better to put those things out there up front. Then you know you have no problems getting the time off if you do get the job so it's less stress on your part.

I would definitely prefer to be able to answer those kinds of questions on paper as well. At least you'd have time to sit there and think about the best way to answer w/o making them think you're trying to come up with some elaborite story or lie Ugh! Interviews.

Yeah, I noticed earlier today when I started posting. And YES!!! I'm soooooo excited!!!! I actually plan to get my laundry started tonight and when I find something I want to take to WDW with me, once it's clean, it's going in my suit case so I don't have to worry about doing a last minute wash before we leave. And theory is, I shouldn't forget anything if I start packing now. We'll see how well that works out. There's also some new developments on our trip that I'm not gonna post about until things get more definite with this one thing so you'll have to keep an eye out on my thread about possible new happenings. It's gonna be such an awesome trip!!

It seems that Sharky said that Pepsi is the only drink for her. She couldn't believe how many Coke fans we had. Well you have to wonder just what she is really all about??? Check this out. It's a picture of Sharkey in her own living room, so apparently we were not anywhere that she couldn't get Pepsi, like being stuck at someone's house and all they have to offer is Coke, right? So look closely at her hand and see just what it is she is holding and drinking????????????

I've never been to Aliceville, but yes, you'd probably enjoy living in a larger town like Tuscaloosa with more things to do and commuting to Aliceville. Although, I see you're from Louisiana, so if you're a big LSU fan, you might not enjoy being in Crimson Country (as an Auburn fan, I know I wouldn't want to live there).

Don't hate me but I'm not a football fan. I'm orginally from southern New Jersey so I was more of a Philadelphia Phillies fan as I loved baseball but never got into football, didn't understand it actually, lol, but if I did I guess I would have stayed an Eagles fan. I don't even know the names of the college teams but I do know LSU is a big thing here, so I keep it very quiet (shhhhhh) that I am not an LSU or any team's football fan!

We went to Aliceville on a long weekend, oh my God, nothing there, not even a McDonalds or a Sonic, nothing, old broken down town, and the only restaurant there is a big really expensive place that looks like an old mansion. that doesn't even make sense to me!!!! I'd have to live in the tuscaloosa area and find a job there and let DH commute to Aliceville. I could never ever ever ever live there!

Don't worry Disneymom I had to do the same thing, click and click and click sometimes to get it to accept the state. It was frustrating on the ones I knew for sure were right, like California!!! So that wasted a lot of our times. Each time I took it I didn'tget the same ones over and over, Nebraska, Montana, Wyoming, etc. I just do not know where those states are, lol.
