Great update!!

Looks like you all take a lot of great family pics.

Snow tubing looks like a blast ...Thank for explaining those black things were mats..I had thought when we saw this pic before..it was the ground, where the snow hadn't covered..which was a lot..:rotfl2:

The pic with the King...:confused3 I didn't see Elvis:rotfl2:

How funny the story about the little girl who wanted to help you build that monument after they jut said it could not be done...I gues they were embarassed.....:rotfl2:

Great Pics of course!!!!

Yes Disneydad, that was a great update and two great stories of mini trips. I loved all the pictures and it brought back memories for me. I went snow tubing in the pocono mtns in PA when we lived there and it was a blast.

I also went to the Pennsylvania 500 and the Pocono 500 when I lived in the pocono Mtns in PA. I had a good time there too.

Thanks for sharing all your pics, they were really good!

Hey disneydad! Thought I'd check in to see what's going on in your thread. I love visiting the mountains of NC and TN. I've never been to Sapphire Valley, but I see that it's close to Highlands, NC which is one place I've been wanting to visit (after seeing some photos someone posted in another forum). We visited the Smokies three years ago and instead of staying in Gatlinburg as we normally do, we decided to stay in Maggie Valley, NC instead. Not as much to do there as in Gatlinburg, but it was nice to escape the TRAFFIC of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. It's also closer to the Blue Ridge Parkway which we drove from Cherokee to Asheville. BEAUTIFUL!!!

Last fall, we visited Big South Fork on the border of TN and KY (north of Knoxville) and Cumberland Falls (we got to see the moonbow over the falls...very cool). Then we drove through Cumberland Gap and through Viriginia to see the fall color along the Mount Rogers Scenic Byway (the closest place where the colors were at their peak at that time--early October) and also visited a great historic town--Abingdon, VA.

We're planning to head back to the mountains this fall but haven't decided where to go yet. We've visited Helen, GA a couple of times in the last few years and enjoyed it, but I always like to discover new places (within a few hours of Birmingham) that we've never been to before. Any suggestions?

And Chattanooga ROCKS (this message brought to you by Rock City...LOL)!

I got 40/48. It's the little eastern states that killed me. Gabby, my 5th grader, got 100% :rotfl:

We were pretty close. I got 41 out of 48 but I got the eastern ones it's the midwest that messes me up, lol. So a 5th grader got 100% well he should as it's not that long for them since they were in third grade, lol

Hey Crazy Woman I posted my Update on Page 183 post # 2734 & 2735!!!

:lmao:

I know, I know I saw it finally. I had to go back and catch up and found your promise to update before I found your actual update, sorry, I apologize DisneyDad, please don't put me in the dungeon!

That all sounds great. We've been to Pigeon Forge and loved it. We are considering moving to Aliceville AL next year but not sure yet. Doesn't seem to be much of anything there so hoping we can move to Tuscaloosa and commute to Aliceville. What do you think?

I've never been to Aliceville, but yes, you'd probably enjoy living in a larger town like Tuscaloosa with more things to do and commuting to Aliceville. Although, I see you're from Louisiana, so if you're a big LSU fan, you might not enjoy being in Crimson Country (as an Auburn fan, I know I wouldn't want to live there). ;)

A Trip to The Mountains!!!! We Hope... No Really We Hope! I Mean it this Time!! Plus 2 More trips...all rolled into 1 (sorry MissMichelle)

LMAO! Great update! The tubing looked like so much fun...I just wish I didn't despise the snow so much...I always stay in doors during winter and cold times.

My favorite pic had to be the girls in the monument you all built with the little girl that finally got to master it--WITH DISNEYDAD!. You're so smart! HAHA

:rotfl2: Good point but I don't ever think I knew all of them.

Uhm...I am shocked! I think your son is about to give you the finger!!! :scared1:

Hey Disneymom...

Sounds like you are having a great day!!! How is the pic search coming??:rotfl:

My ds has been sick all day...so have just been sitting here in my pjs all day...cleaning up after him... RIght now he is napping.....so taking a break.on the Dis of course...:thumbsup2

HI Sharkey--I had a great day yesterday!!! Sounds like yours was really bad-- so sorry. At least my kids can hit a bucket now!!!!:rotfl: When they were small, they would all get sick at one time, and cleanup was not fun.:scared: :scared: :scared: The pick search is going very slowly. Maybe this weekend I can get them all organized.:rotfl2:

Well I have to pick up the kids today, so my relaxation time is over.:laundy:

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Wow ... you teach a scrapbooking class. :worship:

I am a newbie and just started an all Christmas scrapbook and once I have a couple of years in that one I want to start a Disney trips book.

I started scrapbooking when Anna was a baby:love: -- I think it kept me sane (well almost) as I had 3 children under 2 1/2. :lmao: I really like the format you are doing--so many people want to do it chronologicallly, and you just can't after all those years of pics:rolleyes1 !

Still Uploading Pics...& there will be lots...So give me an Hour To type...I mean with the Toe typing & All!!! :lmao:

Nice......Does Disneymom know you do that to the computer? :surfweb:

Honey--I told you to stop typing that way!!!!!!!! EWW--it stinks up the keyboard!!!!!!!!!!!!:scared1:

Disneydad - 1st of all, I have to say that I was also at the Kobalt tools 500 race!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Here is my favorite picture from the race.

I also have a picture of Jr's car like you :thumbsup2 we were sitting in the richard petty seats. my dad got free tickets through work so I took my MIL to the race. It was awesome.

The kids loved the idea of the race, but only Anna wanted to stay for the whole thing:cool1: --OK in fairness to Drew, he likes the Nextel races where he knows the drivers:cool2: --he would have stayed for that... Leesee on the other hand, was completely bored!!!!!!!!

Great pics! Love the tubing ones!

Looks like you have lots of fun adventures with your family.

But....

where are the pics of Disneymom in all those adventures?

Just wondering.....:rolleyes1

Somebody has to take the pics!!!!!!!!!:wizard:

Besides, I can only climb hills for so long with my bad leg.:sad1:

Hi Disneymom, so nice to see you on here. You sure do keep yourself busy. I haven't done much of anything since I've been laid off. Now it's time to go back to work so I didn't really do much with my time but relax.

I wouldn't have time for a job!!!! :lmao: No actually, I'm busy because I choose to be (and everybody says oh you stay at home, you can do it!):upsidedow I think I would be depressed if I didn't do other things away from home.

Alabama???? really???? I guess living near Atlanta almost all my life I can't imagine living there.:sad2:

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
